This is a review of my experience just trying to schedule an appointment to see the doctor, after a referral fromanother doctor. I have been on hold for a total of close to 3 hours in the past two days. Yesterday I waited on hold 45 minutes while an intermittent recording said there were 0 callers ahead of me, then said there was a problem with the system and to call back later. After waiting 45 minutes today, the same thing happened again. I then waited on hold for another 45 minutes today and finally got a human being who told me she was going to have someone call me back today and guess what!! No one ever called me back. I tried to call back and again was on hold 45 minutes with no one picking up. Don't doctors take an oath to do no harm?! Putting patients who may be facing a life changing diagnosis through this frustrating, even agonizing process is indeed doing harm. My stress level is high and I am in tears. I would think that doctors have some say in the the scheduling process.
