He is too arrogant to be a good doctor. He fails to understand that a real doctor Listens to the patient and reviews the medical records including diagnostic images. He should focus more on medicine and less on billing.

I can’t thank Dr. S. Slag is enough for helping me to walk again! What a miracle - from the wheelchair to walking and going for hikes on Mt. Lemmon! Dr. Slagis replaced both of my hips. Thanks to him, I can walk and enjoy life once again! I know Dr. Slagis only as a very caring and skilled doctor. Frankly, I miss him! Dorothy Pagliantii

He did my operations & fixed a knee issue another Dr screwd up and fixed my shoulders. Gave me cortisone shots when I needed to keep my sport up. Every time into see him, it was a positive success. He kept my body moving when it was down. I have arthritis all over. He was always nice & listened to me over 13 yrs I needed to see him. Sad that he is retiring.

I went in with pain in my knee. It was a workers comp claim and I feel Dr. Slagis didn’t treat me as he would a privately insured patient. He gave me a cortisone shot, but told me nothing about side effects or that I shouldn’t go back to work the same day. I had a terrible reaction to the shot and didn’t find out until I saw his PA that Dr. Slagis screwed up.

Dr Slagis is a very rude man who has no bed side manner it is time for the man to retire when he tells a patient to move on and get over it when trying to ask advice and then tells the patient there a joke I have no respect for this man and don't recommend him to anyone

I love Dr Slagis!! This is the second time I have seen him. Dr Slagis was very honest, understandable and direct regarding my situation. I love (almost) every Dr at Tucson Orthopeadic Institute and I have seen MANY there. I have been seeing TOI Drs since 1994 and wouldn’t go anywhere else!!!

The appointment started a little late but the staff were friendly and helpful. Dr. Slagis was informative and answered all my questions and gave me time to express my thoughts and feelings about my upcoming surgery. The young man who scheduled my surgery answered all my questions and made me feel that he was there for me if I needed him.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Slagis for 21 years. He is an excellent physician, but more importantly a wonderful human being. He actually cares about his patients and listens intently. We have never had a problem that he couldn't resolve. Only wish we had an internist like Dr. Slagis....he is the best!!

Dr. Slagis is an outstanding doctor! He is compassionate, understanding, professional and has superb bed-side manners! I first met Dr.Slagis in 1999 due to a torn meniscus, and had total knee replacement in 2001 because of degenerative arthritis. I moved back to Tucson in 2017 just so he could do my other knee replacement. He is one of the BEST!!!!
