Dr. Scott Silverman, MD

Great doctor, but I’m taking myself (new patient) and my 2 kids (established patients) elsewhere because Terri was so rude and disrespectful.

The past two days have been a blur. Dr. Silverman has made a great impression on our son. Our son is 3 years old and got a bad scratch on his eye. Dr. Silverman was so fast and prompt at the eye exams. He even taught our son the spiderman song the first day we saw him. The rest of the day and night our son kept talking about how he wanted to go back to the doctor to sing the song again with him. Dr. Silverman is great with kids and truly knows what he is doing. We will be using him in the future if any of our kids need glasses.

WOW!! What a great visit. Dr. Silverman & his staff are absolutely wonderful. Jamie is a special needs child & every one was wonderful with him. I will never take him anywhere else & would recommend Dr. Silverman 100%!!

Dr. Silverman treated me for strabismus (that had been misdiagnosed as lazy eye) before switching to pediatric, I had surgery about 16 years ago and have not had any other issues with my eyes since then he is by far the most efficient, kind and compassionate Doctor I have ever been to. He has seen all my children and I trust him and his office implicitly.

LOVE Dr. Silverman!!! My son was referred to Dr. S for having a lazy eye and issues with his corrective lens. Dr. S is amazing. He not only knew exactly what the issues were, he saw us ASAP and was very kind and thorough. His office staff is great, and the office atmosphere is the most kid-friendly I have ever been to -- more so than any pediatrician! My son looks forward to his visits with Dr. S; that says so much! I couldn't be happier with this Dr and office!

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Silverman's for 3 years. I've never been a huge fan of his bedside manner. His behavior during today's visit, however, was abhorrent . Patronizing my 9yr old with stickers if she would read the letter correctly and calling her inability to see "a lack of cooperation". Every time she read a letter, he yelled "WRONG!" She left teary-eyed saying "I tried mommy". After they dilated her eyes, they realized her astigmatism had worsened in both eyes!

We have been patients of Dr. Silverman for several years. His staff is friendly and courteous. The Saturday appointments are convenient for us. Dr. Silverman has a great sense of humor and puts the kids at ease. He is always willing to take the time to answer our questions and address our concerns!

My daughter was just one when she started seeing Dr. Scott Silverman at Coastal Eye Institute for strabismus in both eyes. Dr. Silverman has always been happy to answer all of my questions and was very informative in what was causing her eyes to cross. After several appointments, we decided the best thing for our daughter was to have Strabismus correction surgery which was performed by Dr. Silverman. The results were even better than we expected. I have been taking my 9 year old daughter to Dr. Silverman since we first discovered her vision issues when she was 5 years old. It has always been a wonderful experience and I never feel rushed. He always takes the time to explain things, talk to the kids, and be personable. His knowledge is vast and he has really helped my daughter's vision get better. We are so very happy with him and his wonderful staff - they are all great!

Dr. Silverman has seen 3 of our 4 children. Two of which are ongoing patients of his. My husband and I have found him to be extremely knowledgeable and thorough in his explanation of each diagnosis with our children, for which we had many questions and concerns that needed to be addressed. He took the time to answer our questions and was conservative in his approach to care and treatment. He and his staff are good with children, and he is well respected as a surgeon in our community.

Always a wonderful experience. I have 4 boys and he is fantastic with every one of them. His staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. He is always on time and the kids always love when I say we have an appointment.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Silverman and his staff. I have 2 sons that are patients, one is 11 and the other is 7. My older son has been a patient since he was 5 and has a sensory processing disorder. As you can imagine, this puts an additional challenge to seeing any doctor, much less one that is shining lights in your eyes. Dr. Silverman and his staff have always been sensitive to my son's needs and listening to his many, many lengthy stories about whatever he was into.

Dr. Silverman is incredible! He is efficient and thorough, making the process very easy for our family. My son has been seeing him for the past 2 years, he is 3.

My daughter has always had straight A's in school so it was a surprise to me when I found out she was diagnosed with lazy eye. Although many doctors would say it is too late to reverse any eye damage this late in the game, Dr. Silverman gave us hope. He provided the right tools and treatment and I am so proud to say that her vision has improved from 20/50 to 20/30 in just three months. We still have a lot of work to do but I would strongly recommend him to any one. I am forever grateful.
