Dr. Raffa and his staff were amazing. Dr. Raffa performed surgery at his out patient surgery center, which was so efficient. I was in so much pain and as soon as I woke up the pain had diminished. The entire staff, especially Dr. Raffa, were "hands on" and so very helpful. I was so nervous about having back surgery and it actually was an incredibly wonderful experience. The surgery center was amazingly organized. All the staff, and of course Dr. Raffa, were and are so warm, understanding and accessible. I highly recommend Dr. Raffa and his office.

From the introduction to the post-op I was treated with compassion, professionalism and respect. I was always treated as an individual. I had 7 months of untrappable pain that would not allow for me to walk or stand for more than 5 minutes. 2 weeks post-operatively I feel far better than expected and I am walking with no issues. Dr. Raffa is exceptional and even visited me on Saturday and he didn't need to.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Raffa. I suffered from a herniated disc and could barely walk upon entering the ER. After the surgery I was walking the same day. I'm 3 months out now and feel close to 100%. My incision is minimal. In addition, I had positive interactions with everyone I encountered at Hollywood Memorial Hospital.

I had excruciating upper back pain that turned out to be a fracture from a rare tumor. Dr Raffa did the surgery and I have no pain after and the scar is so thin. He did an amazing job. He answered my many questions before and after the surgery. His office is extremely organized and everyone is nice. I get answers to questions quickly, I would highly recommend Dr Raffa and his staff.

Exceptional Surgeon and medical professional - both my husband and I owe Dr. Raffa huge amount of gratitude for taking the time to do extensive imaging needed to diagnose and successfully perform minimally invasive neck surgery and couple months post op I regained most of my arm’s strength and function. Given the fact that I previously had neck surgery 15 years ago by other surgeon and my case was complicated , the fact that Dr. Raffa was the only neurosurgeon willing to take his time to find a surgical solution to fix my spine issue makes him a truly exceptional surgeon - I strongly recommend!

0 stars! He was 37 minutes late to a virtual appointment that I was required to check in 30 minutes in advance. So in essence I waited 67 minutes for him to appear online. Dr. Raffa comes across arrogant, narcissistic, and egotistical. He might be intellectually gifted but he lacks interpersonal communication skills necessary for a successful patient physician relationship. He projects a level of superiority which in fact doesn’t work and causes more harm. The patient physician relationship needs to be partnered. He asked no questions about my personal healthcare but was defensive when I had appropriate questions for him. He’s manipulative and a cover your tracks kind of doctor who could benefit from a big slice of humble pie. He might hear what you say but he doesn’t listen and seems incapable or even unwilling to try. He doesn’t have the skill set. I would not recommend him. I definitely will not be going back.
