Dr. Scott Mikell, MD

Got to echo the reviewer who slammed Dr. Mikell for failing to diagnose lupus, an autoimmune disease. In my case, years of seeing him about a set of neurological, gait, and other issues (including a bad fall) never once caused him to as much as suggest the possibility of multiple sclerosis, which, it turns out, I have. I'm particularly angry about his total failure to signal MS as a possibility because early diagnosis is so, so critical. I can only speak my truth, but I regret having trusted my healthcare to this doctor. Indeed, the whole practice seems o me "retail medicine," not truly patient-centered.

I started seeing Dr. Mikell when I was 18 and started to have chronic pain. He tried me on 2 meds and said he couldn’t help me since they didn’t work. That would’ve been okay if he had also referred me somewhere but he refused and told me it would be gone in a month. I’m 20 now and likely have had lupus this entire time. Thanks dude. He might be okay with older patients, but he does not seem to understand that illness doesn’t care how young someone is.

Dr. Mikell is an excellent doctor. He has been my doctor for 3 years. He is helping me now deal with Diabetes and has done a wonderful job helping get it under control.

Mr. Mikell is respectful, efficient and does the little things right that set him apart from other providers. I also enjoy my conversations with him

My wife and I are Dr. Mikell’s patients. Our recent visit was unscheduled and urgent. It dealt with a delicate issue of mental health. As always, Dr. Mikell assisted with kindness and utmost professional attention. We moved to S’BORO in 2013, but we continued our medical with doctors in Savannah. We believe Dr. Mikell is a godsend. He’s on par or exceeds our pc’s in Savannah. We give him our strongest recommendation.

Dr. Mikell has excellent bedside manner. He takes the time to talk with me in order to be able to diagnose correctly. He then follows up thoroughly to his prescribed treatment. He has helped me turn my life around!
