Dr. Scott McKnight, MD

I was referred to Dr McKnight due to a colon cancer diagnosis he was apprehensive at first about accepting me as a patient because of my weight but he decided to take me on and for that I'll forever be grateful the staff and Dr McKnight they were very comforting very professional. Although it was a rough experience for him the outcome was great I will forever be grateful for his expertise I am currently healing great and feeling awesome day by day.. I would recommend him to anybody who is going through the same or similar situation..

Dr. McKnight was knowledgable, gave reassurance leading up to my surgery, and answered all of my questions leading up to the surgery as well as post-op. He was kind, compassionate, and professional. I'm so thankful for the care I received.

I've had Diverticulitis for a while and last year when it started acting up and getting worse, my gastroenterologist suggested I have surgery to remove that part of my colon. They referred me to Dr. McKnight and I could not be happier with my experience. In our initial visit he was very detailed and answered all of my questions. The surgery went very well. I was in the hospital for 2 days and recovery went better than I thought after following Dr. McKnight's instructions. The 2 post op appointments I had with him were great too, he took the time to examine my incisions, ask me questions to see how I was doing, and was very patient and kind when I asked all of my questions. I would highly recommend him.

When I learned of my upcoming surgery, I was referred to Dr. Mcknight. I reached out to several people that I knew in the medical community and was reassured that Dr. McKnight was one of the best in his field. I also later learned that he had performed a similar surgery for a very close friend of mine who was very pleased with his outcome. Dr. McKnight answered all my questions and explained my surgery in detail including all the risks. It has been two weeks since my surgery and I can't be more pleased with the outcome. I am recovering well and feel like I am ahead of schedule. I just completed my two week follow up visit. Dr. McKnight was always professional, courteous, confident, and prepared. Visits prior to surgery were informative for expectations of surgery and recommendations for oncologist.

I came from out of town to see Dr. McKnight that was scheduled at 3:45. I was very excited. I heard he was very nice and one of the best and thought he could help me.I was referred to him. I came early to my appt with my family who came into town just to be supportive. The staff continues to tell me I was a no show for my appt at 2:00. I would have to reschedule. I was so upset saying that was not true that my appt was at 3:45. After awhile another person at the office told me I was right that she made a mistake. my appt was at 3:45 but I still needed to reschedule. Another nurse heard commotion and told me to go with her. after 2.5 hours of waiting I finally saw THE DR MCKNIGHT. He was so rude, showed zero manners or sympathy or empathy. He corrected everything I said and was completely uninterested. I cried the whole time. Don't trust staff who make u out to be a liar or a Dr who doesn't care. Shame on all of them. So disappointed. It won't be hard to find a better Dr and staff

I was referred to Dr. McKnight after a cancerous polyp was discovered during a routine colonoscopy. That was a God-send! Dr. McKnight is very thorough and confident in his approach. Told me the type of cancer I had, how we were going to fix it, and what issues may come up. Always asked me if I had any questions. I am 3 weeks removed from surgery and getting better everyday. Will not go anywhere else.

Dr. McKnight is the best at what he does. I have seen multiple specialists searching for help before arriving to his office. He is very compassionate and knowledgeable. He was very genuine and sincere in all my appointments. I felt immediately comfortable as a patient discussing very personal issues. You can tell by his wealth of knowledge that you have come to the right doctor! I highly recommend Dr. McKnight and will be returning in the future as needed.

Dr. McKnight found my health issue after 3 years of testing with another Dr. And he found it in about 15 minutes and recommend Ed a solution that is working. I recommend him highly. He's smart.

Dr. Mcknight is an incredible surgeon with an equally incredible team. I will refer my family and friends to him.

This Doctor has a clear and concise speaking style with excellent clarification. The empathy Doctor McKnight has for his patients is real and genuine. Outstanding bedside manner and never makes you feel rushed. His credentials are top notch and he has a calming effect. I have nothing but love and praise for this Doctor who saved my life.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Dr. McKnight was a godsend to me. The entire process was exceptional. He was direct and specific with his medical and surgical plan keeping me at ease before and after surgery so I couldn't ask for anything more. My recovery was virtually painless which I felt got me back normal activities much quicker. A huge "Thank you" to Dr. McKnight and staff!

Dr. Mcknight does a great job of listening and explaining what is going on. He did my surgery and was very good at answering my questions and has been great at following up. His nurse Shae is very friendly and helps make an awkward appt a little less awkward. I trust him and highly recommend him.

Was very disappointed. He spent more time staring at the computer while stand up as if to end the appointment even before it began. He argued and questioned my selection of "single" versus "divorced" then asked the number of times I had been married. Very improper/inappropriate. I had symptoms and concerns which he never entered in the progress notes and my colonoscopy was scheduled 3 1/2 months away. Clearly not appropriate were it to be a serious problem. I ultimately cancelled the scheduled procedure and found a very caring and wonderful doctor which performed the procedure a week later. Don't waste your time. It's too important and too stressful.

Very professional, polite, knowledgeable, and reassuring. He performed a robotic right colectomy and took great care of me. Recovery from surgery has gone very well. I’m very thankful for doctors like him. Will gladly recommend him to others in the future.

Very impressed with Dr. McKnight. He is prompt, courteous, and thorough. I had a right colectomy. All went well and I am healing nicely. Would definitely recommend him.

I saw Dr McKnight for a colon resection. It was easy to get an appointment and staff was friendly and efficient. Dr McKnight is wonderful. He explained procedure and what to expect to my level of experience (I'm an RN). He was caring and never seemed rushed when he rounded in the hospital. When I had a post-op complication (it wasn't an emergency and could have waited till the next day) he called me back between surgeries and called in a medication right then. He didn't leave it up to his office staff to take care of it. I would recommend him if you need colorectal surgery.

Dr. McKnight kept me very informed during the entire process of setting up my surgery all the way to post-op. He was extremely professional and took extra precautions to ensure I wasn’t in any pain. I was very nervous going into this surgery, but he helped put me at ease and I had a very successful surgery. His work helped me avoid any additional problems that could’ve occurred. Great doctor, I would recommend 100%.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Scott McKnight. I was referred by my gastroenterologist to Dr. McKnight because he is considered an expert in his field. Dr. McKnight is a highly trained general and robotic colorectal surgeon and has a wonderful rapport with his patients. He thoroughly explained the procedure needed for me to make a well informed decision concerning a serious operation that I needed. His office staff is well organized making it easy to access him, an important factor when one is facing a frightening and unexpected necessary surgery. I saw him within the week that I called for an appointment, I was seen on time, everything explained, and diagrams drawn to help me further understand the procedure. I left his office with several handouts, diagrams, and specific instructions for preparing for my surgery giving me an even better understanding. My surgery was scheduled immediately and I am now 10 days post surgery. I am doing well beyond my expectations.
