Dr Lipson fixed my wrist after a MTB accident.
Dr. Lipson was very informative, compassionate and correct in diagnosing my complex wrist damage. He was the third orthopedic surgeon and the only correct diagnosis. I was very frustrated with the other doctors. After my surgery my wrist has been great. No more pain from the accident. I couldn’t thank him enough. I have recommended him to several friends, work colleagues and even my wife. He has treated all of them with no complaints.

Rotator cuff repair
Dr Lipson was direct and to the point. Had an injury 13 yrs ago. Never had relief from other docs. Finally was sent to Dr Lipson for surgical treatment. That’s planned for in about a week. He was thorough and explained everything to me wry clearly. And even though I’m a nurse he still spoke to me in layman’s terms that I could understand. Looking forward to having my right arm work again. He is optimistic while at the same time very real in terms of outcome. Thank you to Dr Lipson. And also Dr Daly who just fixed my carpal tunnel. He is awesome. The office runs very efficiently and everyone is very professional. Seems like they know what they’re doing. Thank God there are still good docs around.

It was time…
I began seeing Dr. Lipson for a pretty torn up shoulder. The inevitable solution was going to be a total shoulder replacement. He had monitored my shoulder since 2017, saying the longer I wait, the better the technology gets. I finally could not wait any longer. I am about 9 weeks post surgery and am amazed at how good it feels already. His conservative approach allowed time to pass, ensuring I was fully ready for surgery. I imagine every day will keep getting better. I am looking forward to a future with much less, if any, pain.

Highly recommend!
After seeing three other doctors, I saw Dr. Lipson for a hand injury. I wish I had seen him first! He was thorough, knowledgeable, engaging and got right to the problem and the solution. Don't let a few bad reviews deter you. I imagine because he sees a lot of worker's comp injuries, some folks don't hear what they want to hear and report a 'bad' experience. He is clearly a very competent doctor and I would not hesitate to see him in the future if needed.

Do Not Trust Your Health to Dr. Scott Lipson
The experience my wife and I had with Dr. Scott Lipson was absolutely dreadful. From the moment we entered his office, we were met with rudeness and a complete lack of compassion. Instead of addressing our concerns with the professionalism and care you would expect from a medical provider, Dr. Lipson was dismissive, condescending, and repeatedly undermined us throughout our interactions. Not only did he disregard my symptoms, but he also made us feel that my health concerns were trivial and unworthy of his time. His attitude left us feeling belittled and deeply disrespected. To make matters worse, in the middle of asking follow-up questions, he abruptly stood up and walked out of the room, refusing to offer any help, leaving my wife and me in shock and disbelief. No one should have to endure such treatment from a healthcare professional.I strongly urge anyone considering Dr. Scott Lipson or Hand Surgery Associates to seek care elsewhere.

Skilled surgeon
Dr. Lipson spoke with me, not to me. He listened to my issues, and clearly explained options of treatments. I appreciated his honesty, and the atmosphere of confidence he created throughout our conversation. I felt he truly cared about my wellbeing. I trust his judgement and skill, and would highly recommend him.

Dr. Lipson
Explain things very well, took the time to listen to me, answered all my questions and I thought it was a great experience with a doctor. Unfortunately, I’ve had many many doctors and many many surgeries, and I thought that his time with me was spent in a very professional way.

Dissapointing Visit
I previously visited a Dr at this facility for a consultation. That Dr suggested apputation. I wanted another option. His said: see an arthritus specialist to see if this is Rheumatoid Arthritis. I did and NO, it's not. A variety of other health concerns have taken priority and 6 months ago - I wanted to get a second opinion regarding my original question. I was refered to Dr. Lipson. Because he is in the same office as the first Dr. We had to jump through hoops to get approval to see Dr. Lipson. We did what was asked. We had an x-ray of the hand. Dr Lipsons office could not take an x-ray via email or from the lab. We had to go get the x-ray on a CD to bring it in. We did that. Our first appointment was canceled by Dr Lipsons office. We scheduled a 2nd appointment. After 6 months of waiting to see Dr Lipson and jumping through all the hoops we were very dissappointed in how rude and careless he was to us with the 2 minute visit.Worst Dr visit I've ever had. BRUTALLY RUDE!

Waited 6 months for 2 minutes of RUDENESS – Jun 14, 2024

Terrible
Lipson made me feel the most uncomfortable I've ever felt with a Dr. Between his laughing, condescending attitude, lack of beside manner, and just overall rudeness, I don't know why he chose to be a Dr. Wasted my time to just be treated terrible.

Excellence shows
This is the surgeon to see if you need hand surgery. Great staff as well including the surgery center. I have now had both my left and right CMC joints completed with tendon grafting. Doing well. One was recent and still in post suture removal beacd. I couldn’t be more pleased with surgical outcomes or the handling of my case. Dr. Lipson understands how his patients feel and treats all with compassion and dignity. His staff — nurses, billing, front desk — are all kind and helpful. Definitely helps these old arthritic hands. The scarring is minimal and people don’t notice if I don’t point it out. If I were giving a grade he would be an A++

My carpal tunnel surgery....
It's been about 10 years since Dr lipson performed surgery on my hands... At that time my right hand was pretty much crippled from the carpal tunnel that I was experiencing.... He was the only one who fought for my surgery and who got me the care that I needed... All I can say is I'm personally so grateful for the man that he actually is... I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering from, especially carpal tunnel syndrome..Again ?? thank you...Sincerely, Ken Murphy

Rude and unprofessional “Doctor”
He refused to look at my fiancé’s hand and assess the issues she was having. She was seeking a second opinion , as she had constant pain. Rather than addressing the concerns, he created a hostile environment, refused to even looks at her hand, walk in and out in less than a minute. And arrogantly said “Good luck” as he exited the room. Definitely would not recommend.

Dr Lipson is a very compassionate caring doctor.
He is a very compassionate caring Doctor. Especially in these times we are living in. I am a Senior on Medicare and suffering from Arthritis in both thumb joints, one worse than the other. He explained the surgical procedure to me with great patience and understanding. I would recommend him to anyone suffering from arthritis in hands. His office staff is responsive to his patients in that they had the authorizations promptly.
