Dr. Scott Haufe, MD

8 years ago I was referred to Dr Haufe due to accident/scoliosis. Our 1st meeting I was skeptical. Dr Haufe was very knowledgeable but also blunt, no sugar added kind of Doc! It didn’t take long for me to really appreciate that about him. :) He had office in DeFuniak Springs it closed so I drove 50 miles one way cause that’s where his office is. A few months ago I was told…He RETIRED! No!! Didn’t see that coming. Doc, did I tell you I don’t like change :(4/5 months ago Doc put me to sleep, used a machine to guide the needle. Inject hips. The PAIN WAS GONE until a few weeks ago. I called made appointment to have shots done again today. BTW Emily is the BEST! This time in procedure room stood a stranger was NOT my doc! She didn’t put me to sleep. She didn’t use machine to guide needle to site. She pressed and asked me more than once “is this it”? Well home now hips, buttocks, back of left leg, lower back are hurting! I miss Doc! Good Docs should NOT retire just take vacations :)

If you want someone who listens to you then this is the guy.

I have been seeing Dr Haufe and his PA Kristine Troutman since January 2022 and it has been an amazing experience. I have had back pain for 20 years and neck pain for 10 years and Dr Haufe has helped reduce my pain by 60%. 60% may not sound like a lot, but I have osteopenia, rheumatoid arthritis and degenerative disc disease and the only way I would be 100% pain free is if I was able to get a brand new spin, which is not gonna happen in my life time. I just had and MRI and my L5 is slightly impinging on my spine but not enough to have surgery per the back surgeon. Dr Haufe burned the nerves in my neck which helped get rid of the migraines and the pain in my neck. He also burned the nerves in my lower back which helped significantly. I went from waking up in the morning in horrible pain making it difficult to get up and out of bed and in pain the majority of the day to very little pain and not being in constant daily pain. The staff is great and very friendly. Highly recommend

I have been seeing Dr Haufe since 2011, before that I had seen other pain management center's since 2005, from all over the panhandle! From Tallahassee to PC and everywhere between there and Pensacola. He has been there for me through many surgeries and consistently provided me with the Best care anyone could have! I've seen him exclusively and I will continue to be his patient! Last week he gave me trigger point injections for my back and honestly I feel better! He knows what you need to get Pain relief! He has a wonderful staff and actually cares about you! Your not a #! If you need a Pain management, your first and last call should be Dr Haufe! He even has 2 locations to serve his patients, Destin and Defuniak Springs. Thanks for reading my review!

Dr. Haufe is the best doctor in the area. Went to dynamic pain and saw a different doctor at very visit. Dr. Haufe spent an hour with me on my first visit and after a couple of procedures, I’m doing a lot better. The office is clean and nobody is sleeping on couches like at the other pain clinic.

Run DO NOT go to this place. It is being run by ignorant staff. The Dr. Is not making decisions about your care the staff is.

Dr Haufe is excellent in how he works with the patient. We are new to the practice and our first experience with Dr Haufe was a wonderful experience. He explained everything in easily understood terms. We highly recommend his services and appreciate his caring approach to the patient's situation.

The most ignorant, arrogant, unpleasant doctor I can imagine. His God complex makes it impossible to get decent care. After I told him that I couldn't use certain medications because of side effects he told me "I don't believe in side effects." I told him I couldn't believe he was a doctor. I suppose the old saying holds true. "What do you call the person who graduates at the bottom of his medical class? A doctor."

Only saw Dr Haufe on the first visit, from then on it was his assistant. Don’t feel as if my concerns were ever listened too, I was just given a prescription and sent out the door each month. Phone calls are hardly ever returned.

I've only been seeing Dr. Haufe for a little over a month and he has done more for me in that time than other physicians have over the past 10 years! He really wants you to get better, not perform useless procedures that will only waste your time and money! I drive 4 hours round-trip and he is worth every single mile! For the first time in years, I'm optimistic about my future and only wish that I had met him years ago. If you are a drug seeker and don't want to get better, don't waste his time!

Dr. Haufe is the best doctor that I have ever been to. He is so caring and compassionate. He is always available to answer any questions and is always willing to help you in any way possible. His staff is excellent as well.

I have been seeing Dr. Haufe since 2011, and can honestly say he is the most caring, professional, intelligent doctor who treats me as a human! He takes the time to listen and then talks to you not above you!

Dr. Haufe and his staff are Class "A" and are as good as they come! He actually LISTENS to you and offers treatments other doctors don't take time to learn or even know about. They make you feel like you are their only patient! If you are just looking for a pill to cure your ill - go somewhere else. However, if you are serious about easing your pain, trust him and follow orders, look nowhere else. After a 30 year military career, Dr. Haufe GAVE ME MY LIFE BACK! You can't put a price on that!

I have been to three prior pain docs and this guy spent more time with me than all the others combined. He was knowledgeable and just plain good. The office was clean and the patients didn't look like typical pain people at where I have been before. My first visit was at three and he started with me at 3:15. The office staff was pleasant and didn't treat me like i was a pill seeker.

I like that he is interested in getting rid of my pain instead of just more pills. I'm glad my doctor referred me over to him. I also like that the place doesn't look like a pill mill with people all over the place. My last pain doctors place looked exactly like that and I felt embarrassed being there.

Was seeing Patel but they stopped taking my insurance. So far no issues. Nice staff and willing to help.
