I like Dr. Clemensen a lot. He has provided really good guidance with my health issues, really understands the medicines and what is best. He knows the risks and tries to find the best approach for my medicine.

Dr Clemensen is very easy for me to work with regarding my multiple health issues, applying acupuncture treatments as I need them. He is straightforward, gentle, and compassionate while respecting my privacy. His approach of encouragement, concern of and for my entire being, and listening earn my respect and highest esteem Kaiser Permanente has been providing an unique combination of physician oversight and acupuncture as part of its Complimentary Medicine. This is why I continue to seek acupuncture sessions with Dr. Clemensen.

I have had asthma since 1987. I don’t like using meds, but I have had to use inhalers. On occasion, I have gotten a cold that goes into my chest, and when I do, I need a short burst of prednisone to clear out my lungs. Spraying more inhalers on top of the mucus doesn’t help much. I do not like using prednisone, but have realized that sometimes I simply have to. I messaged the doctor requesting a short course of prednisone, as well as an increase in my dosage for my steroid inhalers, because dramatically increasing my inhalers is the only way I can keep my lungs clear. The doctor denied my request for prednisone because of his typical protocols. I must add that I am 850 miles away from my home, so scheduling an in-person appointment is not an option. Evidently the doctor has never taken the Hippocratic Oath to first do no harm, because his denial of my request for a $5 prescription that would easily solve this problem is clearly causing me unnecessary suffering.

Very thorough, takes the time to listen and address concerns. He has always answered my messages in a timely fashion. Very open minded and easy to talk to. I haven't had a better doctor.

Dr. Clemensen has been kind, thoughtful, and through in discussing my health with me. He takes the time to really listen and explain things. I love that he offers acupuncture as well.

Did not follow up after recent surgery and post operative complications. Has not explained what I should be doing, and is very poor at answering communications. Did not follow up on reoccurring bladder infections for a year, never treated them beyond offering over the counter AZO.

Dr. Clemensen does acupuncture as well as family medicine. His follow up is excellent and I like the combination of traditional and complimentary medicine!
