Dr. Cheney and his Staff performed an advanced HoLEP surgery on my prostate due to a progressive restrictive condition I developed due to cancer progression. He and his attending Staff did a remarkably excellent job for me. At his direction, everyone was very warm and helpful, taking time and explaining is all thoroughly, and following up very well. I highly recommend him and all the Staff at MAYO Clinic. I consider it 'Competent Cadillac Care' at MAYO.

When Dr. Cheney was the busiest he easily could have rushed me. I had so many questions this being my fourth ureteroscopy/ litho, he actually pulled up before films side by side to current films and taught me what he thought. Many Dr’s have agreed shared reports only and diagnosed me on paper and conducted surgeries. Dr. Cheney had the patience of a saint, skill of an expert and did what he promises. There were no surprises and I knew what to expect. On surgery Day he proved himself again by debriefing my surgery to my wife, explained exactly what took place in the OR, even drew pictures for us to have at home. Excellent experience. I recommend whole heartedly.

Dr. Scott M. Cheney treated me for an aggressive prostate cancer in Nov-Dec 2019. I consulted him as a "second opinion" and knew immediately that he was the right doctor for me. He cured my cancer in one day via robot-assisted radical prostatectomy. (We yanked that sucker out and kissed it goodbye!) Dr. Cheney and his amazing team at Mayo Clinic Phoenix have been excellent in all my interactions with them before and after my surgery. Their entire system flows with smooth, polished, professional care. Dr. Cheney is more than an expert robot-wrangling surgeon. He is a wonderfully compassionate and ethical soul.

The caring and time spent with patients is exceptional. Dr Cheney is always through in his explanations and gives you all the possible outcomes. Sorry to see him leave this practice.

Outstanding Urologist He treated my husband for kidney stones via Lithotripsy. Dr Cheney is the best! Can't say enough about him. Excellent communicator, caring and bright. Top Doc for sure!

Prostate surgery by laser. Went very smoothly with no complications and very good recovery. This is a Dr. that is truly interested in the patient. He isn't afraid to expand his methods and procedures if it is to the benefit of the patient. The staff and nurses at St. Josephs also think highly of this Dr. Definitely will recommend to anyone needing a great urology doc.

Dr. Cheney is the most compassionate and caring physician I have ever experienced. He is extremely detailed with his exams and treatments and takes the necessary time to discuss your issues. He is a surgeon that takes extreme care to ensure you understand the procedure and follows through afterwards.

Dr. Cheney became my urologist about two years ago. I randomly found his name when I had an immediate problem. What luck for me! Dr. Cheney is very conservative in that he doesn't jump the gun to give you a procedure or medication without doing his research. He also calls me himself to answer questions or give me test results. I love his hands on approach and most importantly I trust him because he listens to what I say before discussing my situation. I never feel hurried.

Dr. Cheney was very gentle and kind with my mother. He was genuine and listened to her when she was talking and made sure he answered all the questions she had. You can tell he loves what he is doing and even gave my mom a hug when we left. How awesome is that.

Dr. Cheney comes very prepared and spends time to listen and has a great approach to solving problems. My visits have been very timely and also feel like he has spent the necessary time with me.

Although the staff is warm and charming they don't follow thru and my husband has had a UTI after each visit. The dr should have examined my husband before doing a cathator and given more than two pills for the ITI is caused. In addition my phone calls were not returned regarding the 101 temp he got from the infection. The nurse erroneously assumed that since my husband showed fluid in his abdomen that he had a full bladder. The dr checked him afterwords to realize a Paracentesis was needed.
