Quick and to the point
I was seen in the clinic for not being able to breathe out of the right side of my nose. He went over my cat scan and provided me with great information. He stated I needed surgery to widen my cavity and I agreed only because my brother had to have this done. He explained the procedure and got me scheduled right away. I highly recommend him. He knows what he is talking about and is eager to help. He was not rude and did introduced himself when he came in. Overall great experience!

Not happy
I had a 1:30 appointment and waited 3 hours to be seen. At 4:30 he came into the exam room with three young ladies that were to observe the procedure of inserting a camera down my nose into my throat. He did not administer any local anesthetic and it was quite uncomfortable. When the camera was in my throat he instructed me not to cough. That would be like a doctor sticking his finger in your eye and telling you not to blink. I have had the same procedure done once before and once after so I know how it normally goes. His diagnosis of mucus in my lungs was acid reflux. After that, I went to MAYO Clinic for treatment.

Tonsil surgery
The reviews there stated bad bed side manor are not true. I am critical on who I would let do my surgery and he was nice, respectful, answered everything, and did not rush me. I had a good experience with the surgery other than the pain, but that’s just how tonsilectomies go. Highly recommend

Dr. Nalwa left the Madison area several years ago, and he is sorely missed. He provided my treatment and follow up care pertaining to throat cancer for more than a decade. His surgical skills left me with well concealed neck scars that have enticed admiration from other ENT's since then. I would highly recommend him to anyone. His bedside manner was exceptional, and his apparent concern for his patient left me very impressed.

Saw doctor Nalwa for a consultation. He seemed very rushed and only spent 8 minutes explaining the surgery he recommended. He said to call if I wanted to schedule surgery. I called 6 times within the last 2 weeks to schedule surgery with no call back, even after I explained to the receptionists that I would be moving shortly and needed to hear back soon. ENT receptionist were apologetic, just couldn't seem to get ahold of Dr. Nalwa's nurse.

I saw him 3 times in clinic and the first time I immediately wanted a second opinion from another doctor. He was running way behind and didn’t even introduce himself when he walked in the door. I was seeing him for hearing loss and plugged ears. I felt like he didn’t take me seriously at all and didn’t care what I was saying. During the first visit he said “well I guess I better look in your ears..” The 3rd office visit my mother came along and he didn’t introduce himself to her or ask who she was. After 3 office visits he said he’d put tubes in my ears. When he came in before my surgery he spoke so quickly that I’m glad that I already knew what he’d be doing. He didn’t introduce himself to my husband or anything. Very very rude. I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone! I have nothing positive to say about him. The next visits I have to have for follow ups I’m seeing the physician assistant.

If you a like a doctor with a poor bed side manner, Dr. Nalwa is the doctor for you. I was referred to him to get my tonsils out. When meeting him, he did give out brief facts about risks/complications following surgery but made nothing of it. Before surgery, he came in and treated me like I was just another dollar to him. Only positive about him was that I had some serious complications and he called back and was nice about it.
