Great care and bedside manner!
I recently spent more time in the ER than I would ever like! Dr. Mills was quick to see me, she took the time to understand my myriad of problems and she was patient with my rambling. I felt like she was highly supportive of me the entire time and took my concerns seriously. Yes I had to wait, but so did everyone else on a wild Monday night. By the end, Dr. Mills ran some tests and got me to where I needed to be. I will definitely be going back to her ER the next time my crazy life throws something else in my lap.

Egregious Lack of care
I went to the wake med ER with severe ulcer pain. I was screaming in pain and left without seeing even 1 person for about 45 minutes. I didn’t even get a bracelet. I never saw Dr Mills. She never came. I just got her name. Her orders were to give me meds I already tried at home. The nurses told me 4 different treatments they were to give me. They were changing their story. I didn’t want to get yet another CT. I had a very recent negative one. I was already Dx with an ulcer. I was screaming in bed and was never given pain meds. I told them I couldn’t take morphine for pain meds cuz it is a mast cell degranulator (and I have MCAS) and would make it worse. The sensible option for me was fentanyl. Like I said.. screaming in pain. They only offered me drinkable lidocaine which I told them repeatedly I had at home and just tried without relief. They said they don’t treat chronic pain. I’d been in the ER 2 days ago & treated appropriately. I ended up walking out of the ER holding my stomach.
