Not a good doctor for fibromyalgia
I saw her to get initially diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The diagnosis process was relatively smooth, as fibromyalgia is diagnosed based on eliminating other options. At the time, I didn't know much about fibromyalgia and I wasn't sure of my treatment options. Two years later, I returned due to a severe pain flare up. I have been diligently doing all the prescribed "self care" for fibro, and was looking for medical interventions (i.e medication or other treatment). She refused to prescribe medication. Advised me to see a physical therapist, eat more vegetables, and sit in orthopedic chairs. Offered no pain relief or adequate advice. This appointment was the equivalent of paying someone $200 to read a 10-year outdated article about fibromyalgia to you while ignoring or dismissing your pain, limitations, and requests.

My daughters visit seemed rushed and more about the student/intern experience. Dr Hoffman dismissed concerns and referred my daughter to PT for mechanical reasons because she said there was no inflammation. Physical Therapist found inflammation.

We love Dr. Hoffmann. She is detail oriented, kind to our daughter and truly invested in her health. Dr. Hoffmann returns calls immediately and takes our concerns seriously. On multiple occasions Dr. Hoffman has gotten us in to see her same day or next day.

I saw her as an older teen with severe pain all throughout my joints. She blew me off, said I have fibromyalgia, and said that it could be cured. I could not BELIEVE that I was hearing a health professional claim that fibromyalgia could be cured with COUNSELING. She never checked the trigger points for fibromyalgia, and I believe that she just threw the diagnosis at me because she didn't know what she was dealing with. Nobody should ever see this manipulative crook and she should be fired from her profession.

I came to this woman at 17 years old sick and scared, thinking I had fibromyalgia. She was completely dismissive of my opinion and decided to run the same blood tests I had already gotten all negatives on. She told me she didn’t know what I have. Neither of my parents were ever called about my results. I was just told today by my doctor that she had diagnosed me with fibromyalgia 3 years ago. Not only did Dr. Hoffman treat me like I was stupid, she failed to EVER inform me of my diagnosis.
