She was the OB on call when I gave birth, and she was horrible. She didn't come to the hospital when I hit 5cm, so when I got to 10cm the nursing staff told me I was at 8cm and kept telling me to stop pushing. Then once Dr. Barber got there -- and ran in in her jean shorts because she didn't have time to get into scrubs -- she forced me onto my back and she and the nurses started yelling at me to push harder because the baby had to come out RIGHT NOW due to a heart rate drop. I tore extensively -- hello, I was on my back, that is the worst position for tearing -- and I don't feel she stitched me up well. I'm in pelvic floor physical therapy, and still have some lingering scar tissue. I also wanted to do delayed cord clamping, and Dr. Barber told me I didn't need to and cut the cord anyway. I am furious about the whole experience, and am warning people away from Aultman Orrville Hospital in general and Dr. Barber specifically.

Bedside manner awful! Terrible experience with her. She did my last C-section and did not do an internal exam after at my 6 week check up!! She dismissed me as her patient at that visit no warning nothing. Terrible doctor.

Do not go to this doctor!! Her staff is horrible and she was discussing how she would rather be a vet than a doctor because animals would be better. I was mortified! She told my husband and I that we needed to stop having babies and I needed a hysterectomy. When we told her we wanted a second opinion she started crying! She said she felt like she couldn't trust us now because we didn't trust her. It was just one of the many bizarre things that she did. Now a couple years later I found a REAL

For a Christian physician, very poor bedside manner. Sarcastic, threatened by patient questions, doesn't explain anything. Why does it need to be this way? Does she even care about her patients? Would never recommend her to anyone.
