Dr. Sara Mekuria, MD

Dr Sara took the time to answer questions, re assure me, explain procedures and what will happen next. Her staff was great too and explained things and provided education on the holter monitor. I was able to get a same day appointment! Other cardiologists are booked out for months, I got lucky to get the appointment so soon. This helped relieve my stress which of course was good for my heart!

Dr. M is the best! I trust her and her opinion 100%. She’s very through, caring and quite knowledgable. I have a follow appointment with her next week and can’t wait to talk with her about a recent procedure that I’ve had. I wasn’t able to get my questions answered during a follow up appointment with the office that performed my procedure but I know Dr. M will get those questioned answered for me. I have witnessed with my own eyes Dr. M standing firm on what she believes to be the right plan of action when other doctors are involved in the decision making. As long as she continues to practice and as long as i am in need of a cardiologist, Dr. M is the one for me!

DISCLAIMER: i am a former ICU RN with over 33+ years experience. I have had the pleasure of going to GREAT MD offices that are organized and well run with great staff. and I have had the total opposite. Dr Mekuria is EXCELLENT. she is conservative, takes an excellent medical history, listens and issues reasonable and appropriate interventions. I first went in June after noting I had a sudden and unexpected increase in my BP readings. I am a long-distance cycling, runner and am VERY FIT, so this was unusual. I had an abnormal ECG upon my first visit along with the persistent elevated BP reading. i was kinda a "zebra". so she ordered that i undergo a Cardiac CT a 2D echo and carotid ultrasound to further investigate. i did all that (with the dedicated and personalized assistance of her front office staff. Long story short, I have a very slightly enlarged heart due to my exercise conditioning, but i also had new onset hypertension which required medication. We mutually discussed the best med which would work while not interfering with my very very active lifestyle. so far so good and my numbers are trending downward and the med may need further tweaking. This office is ORGANIZED, communicates well, no drama and very flexible and personable in helping all folks of all walks of life. It is a smaller practice- I fond this to be a HUGE positive factor. So, if you want more calm, one on one competent conservative cardiac care, i HIGHLY endorse Dr Mekuria.

Very unprofessional and concerned if there is competency; can I trust with my heart the one and only organ, no.. Moving on !!!

Dr. Mekuria takes a different approach than any other doctors I have been too. She does not overbook and rush you in and out like a number. I had been to several Doctors and none took the time to listen to the health problems I was having. She was very thorough and knows what she is doing when it comes to Healthcare. She is a Cardiologist, but is more like and better than my Primary Care Physicians. I wish She would become a Primary Care Physician because She would be by Doctor for Life.

An incredibly brilliant and gifted professional she is! She is detailed, sharp, and honestly ruthless. She will tell you what you need in of course very diplomatic and professional manner. Going to her clinic, I able to clear my head from literally life a long question. I have been to many other places before with no one answering my real questions. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Dr. Mekuria. The office is brand new, clean, and well organized. Her staff is courteous. Dr. Mekuria is extremely intelligent, a compassionate and caring person, and a truly outstanding doctor. I count myself truly lucky to have found her.
