Dr. Mears has been my primary care physician for three years now and she is great. She takes the time to listen and makes me feel at ease. She came highly recommended from an ER Doctor friend. I would highly recommend her.

I wouldn’t say Dr Mears is disrespectful I would just say she isn’t very empathetic or concerned despite any serious health diagnosis’ you may have or mental health problems that you feel should be discussed, I always thought you could goto a primary about any mental health concerns.. definitely a very cold cold experience. After the very first visit I knew I wasn’t at all comfortable to put my health in her hands.

I find Dr. Mears to be very disengaging. I've been prescribed medication from her 2 months ago just to come back and be told to take in the morning. She didn't even mention any concern about my high blood pressure or conditions I am currently dealing with. I agree with the critiques placed on this website as well as Google. She is not helpful AT ALL-the residents cared about my concerns more than she did! I hope they do something about her soon...

I found Dr. Mears to be uncaring and disengaged. If you are looking for a dr to listen to your concerns and give professional input and testing if needed, she is not it. If I could give her a 0 for listening I would. I will be looking for a new primary care. This office is also impossible to get in to if you are sick or have an emergency. They will refer you to the little clinic located in Kroger, which is also run by VCU. Extremely disappointing not to be able to see your own dr when sick
