Dr. Sara Cederstrand, MD

I was told I was out of options for dialysis access, but she took her time talking to me about some options that I hadn’t heard of. She did a surgery and it worked perfectly. It’s funny how the right person can come along and change your life! I’m alive because of her. Simple as that. It’s still working 3 years later so I thought I should leave a review.

She is both kind and excellent, a rare combo for a surgeon. Her communication with my wife and I was above and beyond.

She listens, which is huge! She took a lot of time explaining my options, she drew pictures for me to help me understand everything. My surgery went great. My recovery was exactly what she told me it would be. I highly recommend her.

I was given the run around for my leg pain by 5 different docs until I finally ended up in the ER, in the middle of the night, on a weekend. The doc who saw me said it was a blockage and I needed a vascular surgeon, but they probably wouldn’t see me until morning. 20 minutes later, Dr Cedarstrand was in my room seeing me. That alone impressed me that she came in right away. I ended up needing urgent surgery that night. She did a wonderful job. She told me exactly what to expect every step of the way, and kept my wife informed of every detail. I was so lucky to have such a caring surgeon! I’m right back to work on the farm thanks to her!

We had been turned down for my dad’s stroke surgery because he was “too high risk” for a stent, and also for the old fashioned open surgery. He kept having mini strokes, so we got a third opinion with Dr Cederstrand. She worked with his heart Dr and the anesthesia team to make surgery as safe as possible for him, and he had his surgery 2 years ago. Today, his follow up showed a clean carotid. He is 2 years stroke free, and has fully recovered from his mini strokes. He is out mowing the lawn today at 83 years old. We owe her my dads life and happiness.

Simply the best for my dad. She is an amazing surgeon who explained everything in detail, and his surgery went perfectly. We were lucky to have her!
