Deviated Septum
I was very impressed with Dr. Gilani throughout the entire process. Pre, exam and post follow up was excellent. I was nervous to have the surgery, because I had done it 28 years prior and it was an extremely painful recovery. I had been pushing off the surgery, because I didn't want to experience that pain again. The surgery went very smooth. I had tubes in my nose for 2 weeks, which is longer than the normal 1 week because my septum was pretty bad. The tubes weren't painful. The previous surgery, when they pulled out the gauze, I almost passed out because of the pain. I prepared myself for a similar experience, but it barely even hurt when Dr. Gilani removed the tubes. I couldn't have been more relieved. Now my breathing has been the best that I can remember. I should have done the surgery long ago. It's amazing how good it feels to breath normal. I would highly recommend Dr. Gilani.

Rhinoplasty with Septoplasty and turbinate surgery
Dr Gilani is by far the best Dr I have ever had surgery by and or been seen by. Her bed side manners are above any Dr I have ever dealt with. She is one of the most kind, caring, passionate Drs I have ever dealt with. If you or anyone in the California Area or surrounding areas need some form of ENT issue dealt with, I highly recommend her. I had a procedure done on Sep 12th, 2023 and the after math was pretty rough, she made sure to check on me to see how I was doing twice in 8 days. I couldn’t have asked for a more professional doctor to perform my surgery. Thank you Dr Gilani for everything!

Professional and easy to work with
My 14 years old son had hard time breathing with nose. We met Dr. Gilani for consultation. She gave nasal sprays. They helped, but we scheduled nose surgery with her as surgeon. Surgery was a success and my son can now breathe freely without using sprays. Dr. Gilani is personable and professional. I recommend her. However, note that UCSD Health is generally more expensive than most providers.

Fantastic Experience
Dr. Gilani is wonderful. I became a patient in her office in late 2021. She worked diligently to identify the issues in my nose and explained a wide variety of treatment options, including steroid nasal spray, surgery, and collaboration with an allergist. It seemed readily apparent to me that surgery was the best option for my situation. Dr. Gilani explained the process of surgery, what would occur the day of the procedure, and how recovery would go. I felt very safe and comfortable with the thorough and extremely competent medical information she provided. I underwent surgery- a septoplasty- in January 2022 and the procedure day and subsequent recovery went very well. I followed her instructions and recovered just as she said I would. In addition to all this, Dr. Gilani is a very kind doctor and also clearly cares very much about her patients. I look forward to seeing her again.

Dr Gilani was my surgeon for a functional rhinoplasty, where she fixed my x2 broken nose and opened my nasal passageways to improve breathing. During pre-op appts she was nothing but kind, patient, informative, and generous with her time and expertise. Her surgery team was wonderful and did everything they could to put me at ease on the day of surgery. Post-op she has been exceptional in her care for me. My nose looks great, I can breathe with the best of them, and I am super grateful. THANK YOU

Dr. Galani is the very best Physician, period. Not only is she a true miracle worker - she is the most capable and caring medical professional I have ever come in contact with. My procedure was challenging and unique to any other surgery she had performed. Instead of giving up and sending me on my way, Dr. Galani took swift action and collaborated with her peers — on the spot. The results were life changing. I felt like I could breathe for the first time in my life within 48 hours. AMAZING!!!!!

Dr. Gilani did an amazing job on my surgery!!! I went to many doctors, they tried to change different settings on my Cpap but again nothing. After visiting Dr. Gilani she suggested that I do 4 surgeries all at once! 1) remove my tonsils 2) remove my Uvula 3) Straighten out my nose 4) Open both sides of my nose. It took about 5 hours but boy I recovered after a week and I can breathe like I never thought possible. She knows what she's doing and she does it right. Thank you Doctor!
