Dr. Santiago De Los Angeles, MD

Dr. De Los Angeles, is very kind and helpful. He listens to my concerns as a parent. My daughter has been seeing him for ADHD and anxiety for the past 3 years.

I recently moved here from another state and Brevard Health Alliance has been terrible! I was diagnosed twice with ADHD, once as a child and again as an adult and have been taking Adderall with much success. I provided my diagnosis paperwork but their primary care physicians can't prescribe it. I was told I needed to meet with a psychologist which is a total waste of resources since I have already been diagnosed and am taking it with great results. I was supposed to receive a call to be scheduled that day or the next but never did. So I had to call in and wait on hold for half an hour. When I got a hold of someone I was informed that the psychologist I was referred to does not prescribe Adderall so they scheduled me with Dr De Los Angeles who they said was the only psychologist in their company who will prescribe it. 2 hours before my appointment I got a call from the receptionist informing me that Dr. De Los Angeles does not prescribe Adderall to adults!

My son has been seeing Dr. De Los Angeles for a few years. My son is nonverbal/verbally limited so it is challenging however the doctor has always been straightforward and we are very open and honest about our concerns. I am confident that we are working together for my son’s best interest. I appreciate the doctor’s professional and bold approach, I wish appointments were longer but understand his time is in high demand.

Came in thinking I had bipolar from 2 previous misdiagnoses. He didn't perform a psychiatric evaluation that lasted more than 10 minutes. Misdiagnosed me with bipolar disorder. I later suggested I didn't think it was bipolar disorder and was instead undiagnosed ADHD. He said I, "look like I was a college student looking for study aids." I'm a burnt out salaried engineer. "You can't have ADHD. It's not possible. One of your school teachers would have recommended you when you were 7. It's too dangerous to treat you for ADHD if you have bipolar disorder. I wouldn't treat you even if you did have it." I then got a psychiatric evaluation 7 months later from a different psychiatrist and shadowing NP that lasted an entire hour. It turns out I have ADHD-PI, OCD, Social Anxiety Disorder, Persistent Depressive Disorder, episodes of MDD, Panic Disorder, GAD, possibly PTSD, and I'm getting a neuropsych in January to confirm diagnoses. My stimulants do not make me manic, they make me sleep.

Conversations very hostile. Attacked my character, felt judged, and felt like I was being scolded. He would not give me a chance to explain how severely I was abused last 8 years and " laughed " in my face. I have never been treated this way in my life and I 40 years old. HE IS AWFUL and I would never go there again or take my children. He should be bared and never able to treat anyone again, cus he is NOT there cus he cares. HE DOES NOT CARE! Changed doctors that same day and not one problem. We saw him at the SARNO office Brevard Health Alliance
