Dr. Sanskruti Upasani, MD

25 minutes are billed but only spends 10 minutes with me every appointment.

I only had one appointment with Dr. Upasani, but she was thorough, kind, has a great professional demeanor, and was enthusiastic about coordinating with my therapist. Unfortunately, I had to discontinue care due to issues with my insurance, but if money were no object, I would absolutely continue to see her for my medication management.

Dr. Upasani has been treating four members of my family for almost three years. Through her compassionate listening and questioning, she has developed treatment plans that have allowed each of us separately to move forward through depression and anxiety, which runs in our family. She is not afraid to suggest changes dependent on where each of us is on our journey. She has worked with me and my husband through a serious medical diagnosis, which has affected our whole family. She is professional, caring, listening, and pro-active. So blessed to have her in our lives.

I have been followed by Dr.Upsani for the past 2.5 years. I find her to be knowledgeable, compassionate/empathetic. I see her primarily for medication management but she finds the time (unlike other psychiatrists on a 20 min maximum time limit) to truly hear what is going on from a psychosocial perspective. I have referred a number of friends and colleagues to her and they have been just as pleased.

- moved offices and didn't tell clients - didn't tell me until AFTER appointment that she doesn't accept CIGNA anymore, and still charged me, and I had to pay out of pocket.

I left so happy that I found somebody to help me who talked to me as if I am intelligent person and not talking down to me. Just based on the questions she’s asked me it was really obvious that she understood what was going on with me and I didn’t feel embarrassed. I left feeling like a burden was lifted knowing that I was going to get help - even if it takes a while to figure it all out.

I loved working with Dr. Upisani at the military outpatient clinic. She is prompt and didn't waste time. I felt she was thorough and was not afraid to change treatment approaches when necessary. She was willing to work with my insurance to get newer medications approved. I was sad when we had to part ways.
