Above and Beyond Care
Telehealth
This was a follow-up visit. The medications that Dr. Kashyap prescribed on my last visit did help to lower my A1C. I was very relieved. Dr. Kashyap still discussed the importance of a healthy diet and exercise, and how it could help manage my depression. We reviewed the labwork that was completed and how it could relate to some other significant medical issues. Dr. Kashyap contacted my cardiologist to discuss a new medication, which could hopefully have a positive effect on my prediabetes, choloesterol, A1C, overall cardiac health and delay the progression of carotid stenosis. I appreciate Dr. Kashyap for looking at 'the whole picture' and trying to understand my unique medical needs.

Disappointed.
I recently gave Dr Kahyap a five star, but was soon disappointed in the follow up. Her team is nonresponsive. I was supposed to have follow up much needed medical treatment afterwards. The team does not get back to me. I have left messages through the portal and called. Also Dr. Kashyap did not tell me when I would see her again. I only found this out by going through the portal, which is again another big error. How are you supposed to have continuing patient care if you do not communicate with a patient. I’m considering looking for another doctor. I previously posted under Hazel S. Next time I will wait to have more experience with the doctor as this was only a first visit before I left a review. It’s not that initiated the review on my own. The hospital immediately sent out a text prompting you to leave her a review. I should have heeded the previous two and a half stars on her previous reviews.

Very engaging and listens
She consistently stays abreast of my conditions which include type 2 diabetes and osteoporosis and meds and takes appropriate measures to address sometimes changing situations. She is also very pleasant.

Would not recommend
Attention to detail from the doctor and staff would be ideal. I schedule an in-person appointment to then get a voicemail asking if I want to do virtual about two hours before the appointment. I called back to then be told that a virtual appointment is not possible and my appointment is in-person. I attended the appointment which was fine, but felt very rushed. I was put on metformin even though I do not have diabetes. I am overweight but I do not have a history of diabetes nor am I pre diabetic. I tried metformin and had terrible side effects so my prescription was changed to extended release. I still had bad side effects so I ended up getting off of it. Following this, I had a virtual appointment. I was so disappointed. I never received a link when asked and I called and email, with ZERO response. It's been a week and I still have not heard anything from the office. They also charged me for an appointment that never happened. Terrible service, do not go to this office.

Not Recommend : Shocking on Staff Weill Cornell
Telehealth
Cancel the in-person appointment with no option to reschedule. I met virtually, and she had not reviewed my chart for a stress fracture on my foot (after MRI/X-ray results). She ordered an insane amount of bloodwork, which has not been reviewed in detail. A message to me in the MyConnect portal 'looks fine'; I am still asking what is causing the stress fractures?? My primary doctor, Dr. Yeung, thank goodness for helping me.

Terrible Experience
Needs to actually listen to their patients and go over their chart before they see them.

Dr.Kashyap prescribes a lot of pills,if you are asking questions about the prescribed medications and interaction between them she is getting aggravated.Make you feel very uncomfortable to ask any questions .Very hard to communicate with her trough my chart, she is taking a while to reply. She was not rushed during the appointment, and appointment was on time …but most likely I would not recommend her . It is important to be able to communicate with the doctor.

Loved her! For the first time I felt someone listened to me without thinking I'm crazy and was willing to help me. I really appreciated her spending time with me and am thankful that I found her.
