Privacy issues at the front desk are the most significant reason to simply stay away from this “Medical Practice.” Don’t go here.

I did not have a good experience as a patient with this doctor or this office. I recommend finding a different doctor. Please stay far away.

Very pleased with Doctor Gaonkar. He was very patient and thoroughly explained what my diagnosis was. He seemed very experienced with helping people with all types of depression. He has helped me a lot.

Dr Gaonkar was able to capture my illness through his assessment and gifted acumen. I had been a patient of the #1 rated psychiatrist in Wheaton, and medical director of nearby facility for 17 years. My refractory illness lingered. This gentle man listened and observed and saw me as an individual. He didn't see me as my disease. I have had two years of high quality life. Disease free survival. Because I understand mental illness, I know it progresses, and medications become less effective. But I don't live in fear about that anymore. I have a Dr. who will figure that out.

Best doctor by far in psychiatry! Wish I had found him years ago

Not a positive experience and wouldn't recommend. He gave us really bad advice for our daughter--it was just wrong. Unfortunately, I don't think he is up on current research and that hinders his ability to treat patients.

I met Dr. Gaonkar in the hospital and he was extremely kind and understanding which is what you need when you are going through major depression and anxiety. He didn’t make me feel inferior! I recommend him to anyone that needs a trustworthy doctor. Thank you for all you did for me.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gaonkar‘s for 10 years and can’t thank him enough for saving my life by helping me get through my depression and anxiety. He listened Foley to my concerns and immediately made multiple game plans to try to assess & control my anxiety. He does not pay attention to your problems. He quickly visit patients. When you do not feel okay you should beg till he change your medication
