Dr. Amin is a very capable pain doctor based on my first visit. He took time to review my x-ray and showed me areas of concern. He communicated a cautious plan going forward beginning with an MRI. I felt a little intimidated by his rapid-fire questions and somewhat brusque manner. I was plenty aware that he had a busy schedule. But he was not rude and answered all my questions.I was disappointed to learn that Dr. Amin would not prescribe the pain medication I've been taking responsibly for my back condition. Having managed this chronic issue for many years, I only changed from my previous pain doctor due to insurance requirements. I've established an effective management system and have already explored non-medication alternatives, finding them either ineffective or causing side effects.

Dr Amin is a very caring and patient provider. What I like most about Dr Amin is that he has a humble spirit which is sometimes hard to find in a healthcare provider and he always greet me with a smile. Dr Amin makes sure that you the patient fully understand your condition and provides the best option for you. Dr Amin makes sure your are apart of the decision process to help you get better. Dr Amin has been my pain physician for nearly ten years. During this time, he has optimized my use of spinal cord stimulation resulting in less need for surgical intervention. 9 days ago I had surgery to replace my neurostimulator and battery at Rush. Dr Amin answered all my questions and never made me feel as if my questions were silly.Dr Amin listens to me, my problems and any new pain. We discuss together my treatment plan and what is ahead for me. I would confidently recommend Dr Amin to anyone looking for a reputable, experienced Pain Management physician with a wonderful bedside manner. I am very happy with him as my doctor!
