I was a patient of Dr. Eke for 2.5 years. The doctor I originally had from the hospital did not go to the clinic where I received my hemo dialysis, so I had to find another one quickly. I graduated to peritoneal dialysis after 4 months. My blood labs have always been excellent. I was told to take a chemo pill so my disease did not return. Dr. Eke insisted I stay on the pill even though my disease was non re-occurring. I could not get on the donor list being on that pill. I went to a University hospital for a 2nd opinion. They 100% agreed I DO NOT need to take that medication. Dr. Eke wanted me to have fistula surgery. I chose not to do that. My labs continued to be excellent every month. After that, I was always told I might have to get a fistula. I do feel I was being held back by Dr. Eke. Never was positive or praising me for doing excellent every single month. At that point, I knew I was going to switch doctors as soon as I got transplant.

This is about the provider but about one of his nurses who was a male at the time. He was very insensitive and rude to me when I came. I would ask for a different nurse next time if I have to. When I passed by the station he sat at, he got off the phone and said very rude things about who he was talking to as well, so I know it was not just me. Dr. Eke is great though.
