Surgery Feb 7 hernias, all went very well, doctor was very cordial and kept my wife informed. Robotic went perfect, could not have better!!

Skilled and compassionate doctor
We were faced with difficult decisions about my family members surgery and possible outcomes. He delivered the facts we needed to make an informed decision on how to proceed. It was a difficult discussion but he was thorough and compassionate and allowed us time to absorb the facts and decide how to proceed. The surgery went better than expected and he was successful in achieving optimal results given the condition. He spent a lot of time with us afterwards as well explaining what he found and what the course will look like going forward. Sometimes information isn’t easy to deliver or hear. He has a special skill in communicating tough facts. We feel blessed to have had him helping us

Great Doctor
Amazing Doctor. Truly, confused why his previous reviews aren’t in favor of his ability and character. He’s truly an amazing, smart, punctual doctor. Answers all your questions and concerns. I’m really big on character, experience and bed side manners. He’s honestly, everything I wanted and more . I’m fully recovered and back to my life pain free. Honestly, I owe it to him.

He removed my gall bladder and severed a liver bile duct that flooded my gut with toxic fluid causing me great pain and discomfort. He failed to help me post operative and told me to go to the VA ER for help. In 2 hours they diagnosed the problem and began treatment to save me. The VA put in drains in my gut and inserted a stent to seal the leak. Dr. Phinney had his GI doctor consult twice but refused to go in and look at the damage he caused.

Dr. Phinney is an excellent physician and surgeon! He quickly assessed and diagnosed acute cholecystitis in my loved one and performed an emergency cholecystectomy. While this is to be expected of all good surgeons, Dr. Phinney went above and beyond in communicating with me regarding the procedure and expectations. He is excellent in his communications with patients and patient families and possesses phenomenal bedside manner with genuine concern for the patient. Thank you Dr. Phinney!
