Dr. Samuel Carvajal, MD

He is notorious for finding hernias that you do not have and then fixing them with his dangerous and untested SILS procedure....He tells you there are no risks....but the surgery is a major cause of belly button hernias...he uses the worst mesh on the market as well....super cheap and prone to fold this guy is a flat out and should be barred from practicing medicine. he ruined my life and could care less.

While he is fairly fast in the initial interview for surgery, his knowledge of surgery and surgical skill I believe are quite excellent. My recovery is better than expected and I’m confident the hernias will not ever return.

The best surgeon in Los Angeles. Thanks to the Doctor and the staff for kind support and the wonderful surgery process. He was so nice and patient, explaining everything in detail, gave my mother and the family members so much strength to pass the hard situation. Thanks a lot the best team ever.

Dr. Carvajal is an okay doctor. I wish he would spend more time in the room with his patients before running out before we could ask any questions. As for his staff, they’re horrible. Today I had an appointment and they never called to let me know it was going to be canceled. I missed a day of work for nothing. This will be the 3rd time they have last minute canceled on me.

I found Dr Carvajal to be a caring, knowledgeable doctor He took the time with me to make sure I understood what was going on with me, his recommendation for treatment and his desire to make sure I was the patient and got what I needed to make an informed decision I ended up having 1/2 my Thyroid and a nodule removed and he did a fabulous job of controlling any pain and making the incision as clean and small as possible. I would recommend him 100%.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. I took a good friend to a post op appt because she experienced some very painful issues after a biopsy She left his office crying. He was condescending, mocked her and advised her that her breast looked "beautiful". To say he has no bedside manner is an understatement. It was terrible. The staff weren't much better. Do no harm is the Hippocratic oath. He has no business dealing with patients. Pathology or the Coroner's office would have been preferable.

I was impressed by Dr. CARVAJAL's accumen at sizing up my situation and giving me the options. I selected the one that seemed best given my situayion which was hermia repair. The method he used allowed for a quick recovery following repair of several hernias discoveted during procedure. He had mentioned there might be more than presenting problem. His surgery skills produced great results for me. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Carvajal is the best, loving, caring, professional doctor that I have ever met. He saved my life twice. First with colon cancer and after one year with the breast cancer. He is talented, professional, and knows his job very well. When my insurance did not want to pay for the surgery, because I had to go to the hospital that they wanted me to go, and I refused it, Dr. Carvajal told my husband that he will do the surgury anyways. He has many years of experiance, and he saves lives.

Dr Carvajal is a lier and very inexperienced doctor. he pretends to be the best doctor you know in LA but has very little experience .stay away from him his going to make your Condition worse and not better. And is going to asure you that he did an excellent job .but is not true

This Dr is very very Dangerous he cuts corners lies about what medical Treatment he has perform. He almost took a life of a very good of mine After doing a number of surgeries on his stomach please stay away he does a lot of talking with no substance

Provided my sister with false results after breast tumor removal. He informed her that the margins were good, when in fact the margins were positive. In addition, when she requested her mammogram CD which was provided prior to surgery, the office staff claimed that it was lost. Speaking on behalf of my sister & family, we consider this behavior by Dr. Carvajal highly unprofessional. The oncologist has also called him on several occasions and he has yet to return any of his calls.
