Dr Amen took much longer than most doctors to listen to my complaints and explained EVERYTHING to me in a way I completely understood. I wanted off the Oxy, and he miraculously found a way to get me off of them. I'm SO very happy to have found Dr Amen! I've referred him to at least two other people already. God bless you, Doc!

I saw Dr. Amen for years when he was in Oklahoma. I have never met a more caring healthcare provider. I will always be grateful for my time under the charge of Dr. Amen. Without him, I don't know if I could have found the courage to begin my recovery. He showed an unparalleled level of compassion, understanding, and empathy for my situation. During a very difficult period, I felt comfortable and understood for the first time. After encountering so many condescending doctors, who seemingly had no grasp on the mechanics of addiction, Dr. Amen helped me understand that addiction is not a character flaw. With his help, and the support of my family, I found the confidence to overcome, and eventually escape this endless cycle of addiction. I have been clean for around 5 years now, I finished my education, and started to establish my career. I have a happy marriage, and beautiful children who adore me. Even after the loss of a child, I still had the strength to continue my recovery.
