Dr Sheikh gets a 0 from myself and my mother. She is 92 years old, was admitted to UMC hospital at 4:00 pm on a Thursday via emergency. She had total weakness in her arms and legs and had fallen 4 times that day. Unable to get back up the fourth time. I was not allowed to go see her until Friday due to rules and covid. On Friday I asked the nurse on duty what tests had been run and what results had been discovered. They had little to tell me and no information of use. I requested that the Dr. give me a call on Friday, again on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as well. To no avail. On Saturday the nurse told me that my mother had pneumonia and they were treating her with antibiotics. No other information about her condition or why she had weakness and couldn't stand up. To this day, we still don't know what happened to her. My mother requested to be discharged, Dr. refused. So, she signed a self discharge against Dr.'s recommendation. Her blood pressure was fine once she got home.
