Dr. Safavi, simply the best
Dr. Safavi began our time together obtaining my history by asking questions that were not on the forms that were requested prior to office time. We discussed the options for the surgery that the MRI image demonstrated as being needed. This is my third back operation and my previous surgeons had their minds set on what they wanted to do regardless of my opinion. Dr. Safavi was open to my suggestions and it was decided that the best course was to do two separate surgeries if the initial surgery was not comprehensive to get the desired results. The surgery was a tremendous success and the hospital stay was an overnighter with little or no pain. Dr. Safavi is the best thing to happen for me in my struggles with a back injury that resulted from falling through a ceiling. A true physician, dedicated to helping people with compassion and integrity.

Dr. Safavi is the most competent and compassionate doctor/neurosurgeon I’ve ever known. He has a quick diagnostic eye, yet will take time to consider options on complicated cases. If need be, he will stay with a patient as long as it takes to answer every question. It’s a blessing to have someone of his caliber in Northern AZ. If he doesn’t think a surgery is indicated he won’t hesitate to say so. (My understanding is that 80% of spine surgeries need PT & lifestyle changes not a scalpel.) Because of Dr. Safavi’s skill I’m still functioning. He has treated me for years for complex issues.

Ok first off, he looked at my Mri for a second, said he didn't see anything. But I have medical records from another neurologist that says different. So I was confused. I thought they at least talked each other or looked at my records. This made me upset and was crying. I had an anxiety attack. And he paused for a moment and started going through my options real quick. I asked a lot of questions and I got back questions. No answers. I would write more but it will not fit. This limits the words..
