Doctor Kirkpatrick listened carefully, gave me all the time I needed and prescribed a medication that has helped me immeasurably.

She told me to sit and shut my mouth when I walked in. She said she couldn't help me and then asked what I was in for. I asked her if she could look at my S3 nerve cyst. She told me there was no S3 nerve root and started looking in my cervical region for cyst and told me it was clear. Then I asked her if she could look at a coccyx xray and she refused. There was no exam. She also added that i would never see any neurologist in the state of Maine. She told me she wouldn't bill and insurance was billed any how. My coccyx ended up being dislocated. When she said I didn't have to pay I ran out crying my eyes out. She faxed a report to my provider within the hour and it read scattered thoughts, paranoid and pressured speech. I figured if I kept my mouth shut like she told me to I could avoid her making up false report . i guess I was wrong. I am going to file complaint with medical board. i know she will lie her way out of it but i do not care any more. I was diagnosed with EDS

I felt like she gave up on me. Lack of communication. I felt like she thought I was just wasting her time. I need help and apparently she cant provide it. Very upset.

Amazing to find a doctor of this caliber in a place like Maine. Not only well educated, but clearly quite intelligent, engaging, a joy in the midst of the horror of having a severe and chronic neurological disease. Was always quick to respond to any inquiry until EMMC took over her practice and put barriers in the way of sending and receiving messages. If she keeps a patient waiting, I believe it's because she is so wiling to take all the time her patients need

Not helpful. Did not even look at the 4 months of migraine logs I had. Gave me the feeling I was wasting her time. As others have said, suggested a sleep study and told me I likely needed an anti-depressant. Only let me describe one type of migraine I get, fully dismissing others. Didn't even blink when I mentioned cognitive and memory issues due to preventatives. She did do a decent reflex exam, I guess.

If you have migraines don't waste your time. She kept trying to steer me into saying I had a sleep disorder for which there is no evidence. She refused to focus on my history and symptoms and suddenly decided that my neurological symptoms, (light, sound, hyper-sensitivity to stimulation), were an anxiety disorder and that I should see a psychiatrist to manage my anxiety and increase my Prozac dosage, (which I take to prevent migraines). Then she recommended discontinuing my prn anxiety med.

Don't bother seeing this doctor if you suffer from headaches or migraines. She will not do anything reasonable to try to help you. I have wasted many trips to see this doctor out of my hometown. My previous doctor was better and had me on a medication that worked very well and she took me off of it and decided to let me suffer. All she will try to do is repeat very expensive sleep study procedures to get money out of your insurance company. It seems like it's all about money with this practice.

Terrible doctor. Tried to convince me I was having seizures after having solid proof I was not from half a dozen EEG tests. She claims to specialize in treating headaches and migraines, but all she really seems to specialize in is treating seizures. She pretty much gave up on me after I told her I didn't want to try another anticonvulsant medication. She simply told me I would grow out of having migraines which I have not. Short appointments, long wait, and ignorant rescheduling staff.
