Dr. Salima Abdul Waheed, MD

She was assigned to me as my Medical doctor following emergency surgery for a broken hip. She tried to send me home the day after surgery even though my surgeon said it would be at least 2-3 days. She would not prescribe a simple laxative (even after numerous request) which left me in a great deal of pain due to constipation from pain medication they were giving me. This caused great problems even after I was released from the hospital. She refused to provide any pain medication for me to go home with unless I could ask for it my name. I do not normally have extreme pain so I do not know names of pain meds. She was removed from my case after both I and the nursing staff reported her actions to the administrator of the hospital. She should not be able to practice medicine. She is a hateful individual who using her powers at an in-house doctor to purposefully inflict pain. She is sick!!!

She was assigned to me at my medical doctor after I broke my hip and had hip surgery at BS&W Lakepoint Hospital. She insisted that I was being send home the day after my emergency hip surgery even though my surgeon had just been in to see me and told me that it would be 2 - 3 days later. She refused a simple request for a laxative numerous times for 3 days, which left me in constant pain and caused huge issues after I was released from the hospital. She also kept insisting I tell her what pain medications I wanted her to prescribe even though I explained that I do not know names of such medicines as I normally do not have severe pain and only take an occasional Advil for aches and pains. The hospital finally removed her from my case after both I and a nurse spoke up as to her actions regarding my care. She is a horrible person and should not be allowed to practice medicine. Dr. Said Sayhood took over my care and he was wonderful. BS&W listened and I am so grateful.

She allowed my husband to go HOURS without a CT to diagnose for a stroke (limited movement on one side of body, slurred speech, and headaches. By the time she acted, it was too late. looking over his chart, my husband had blood drawn 3 hours after his last "normal" which is within BSWLP window for intravention. they did not act for another 9 hours, even after i informed them something was wrong.

No bedside manner what so ever.
