Dr. Saleh Parvez, MD

He is a really nice guy. Patient and professional. He actually listen to you carefully, even when it comes to medication, he will listen to your thought and then make a perfect plan for you. You just need to trust him.

He does not have knowledge about common depression/mood stabilizing medications. When I called in prescriptions to be refilled from another doctor he not only order some of the wrong dosages but did not check with the doctor to confirm anything. He spent no time talking with me and only have every spoken with him on the phone - no video conference, etc. I have been seeing psychiatrists for over a decade and he was by far the worst. He was very kind but unprofessional and not very interested in my well-being.

If I could leave zero stars I would. My spouse saw him and he was absolutly terrible, very degrading to him and myself and our concerns. My husband has dealt with bipolar for over 20 years and has been stable we only switched to find a doctor close to the area. Dr. Parvez thought it would be a good idea to take him off ALL of his medications at once (which I strongly did not agree with but was told Im not a doctor) sadly my spouse listened to him and then had a psychiatric break and had had to be in the hospital for 3 months after never being hospitalized before and almost didnt live to see another day. I would not even send my worst enemy to this doctor.

The major reason that I would not recommend this doctor is ongoing problems with his Office Manager concerning billing issues. Phone calls and e mails are not answered. The doctors’s receptionist is very nice. As for the doctor, I really am not sure. I have had monthly appointments with him for more than 1 year. The appointments are very brief, less than 10 minutes. I don’t feel as if I know the doctor. This is not the case with other doctors that I have seen in the past year.

Quick, easy visits. He values you and your time! Shirley is fantastic, too!

In 2018 I was dx with viral meningitis. Since, I have struggled with chronic pain, fatigue, depression, etc.- went through a divorce this year. I had no idea that going to multiple doctors and pharmacies resulted in a negative score that shows up on a tracking system for pharmacists and MDs. The last two years, I have been to approx 21 doctors and have tried every kind of medication. If a pharmacy was out of a med, I went to one down the street, not thinking anything of it. Dr. P could've judged me- but instead, he said "I am going to treat you like I would treat my family- I will put you on a healthy regime to help you feel strong mentally." He took his own time to review all of my medical records and told me he trusted that I have been trying to do the right thing & wants to help me. I am a provider myself and it is very rare that you find someone who truly went into psych. for the right reasons. He is authentic, brilliant and kind. Shirley is so warm and welcoming- fantastic team

Dr. Parvez is AMAZING. I was nervous about changing psychiatrists after my move from Chicago to Orlando however he is totally worth the drive to Oviedo! He has been extremely professional, attentive, knowledgeable and overall the best psychiatrist I've ever had! Not to mention, he has made the transition to tele-medicine over quarantine so painless, smooth and efficient. Shirley who I've seen at both offices is the loveliest! She is so on top of her job and never fails to call me and re-call me about my appointments and has always been very patient and communicative with me. I have always enjoyed every interaction I've had with Dr. Parvez and Shirley. I cannot speak highly enough about them and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a psychiatrist and is the only person I would trust recommending my family members to!

Rude. One hour late for conf call. Called me picky and said I was asking too many questions and would not be a good fit. Wanted $200 for 20 minute first assessment "the remaining time needed for paperwork" after having filled 5 page initial patient forms. This was for a family member in need. Waiting for refund. Would rather take her to our compassionate vet doctor. Stay far away from this one. More dark cloud than silver lining.

I have met with Dr. Parvez a couple of times and he is someone I highly recommend. He listens carefully to your needs. He's passionate about his work and shows it with his compassionate service and ethical practices.

When asking about medical justification for his prescriptions: "I went to medical school and you didn't" "Listen, buddy, you're senseless. You have no sense. You're ruining my day." "Are you telling me how to do my job?" When i affirmed that this was indeed what I was doing as I'm the one paying him he did not allow any more questions.

I have just met Dr Saleh Parvez I am relieved beyond what words can express with the comfort and care he prescribed to my very ill adult disabled son. After so much misunderstanding regarding complicated mental illness both genetically inherited and then that strikes as complications from poor diagnosis and proper warning I was expecting to bury my young adult son as he disappeared into very dark fanatical ideations. But there is hope. It’s been provided to me by DR PARVEZ AND THE HOSPITAL AT UNIVERSITY BEHAVIOURAL 2500 discovery dr orlando near UCF campus . I cannot say the same for other facilities over these 15 years . Thank you DrParvez and the overworked underpaid staff that continue to do their work . Warmest Hope KR

I am very pleased to have found a doctor who is understanding and not condescending. He listens to my concerns and treats me with dignity. I appreciate that he fully includes my wife in our meetings as my health partner. He has adjusted my medications to where I am functioning far better than I have in the past under the care of previous physicians. He is a knowledgeable and caring doctor and I highly recommend Dr. Parvez

It is honestly hard to find medical care with my insurance. It is also had to find good medical care, in general. Found this office, which takes my insurance and has great service!

Staff is to the point. Scheduling is prompt and Fast!

Knowledgeable, caring, experienced doctor. Front desk person very helpful & courteous. Absolutely recommend silver lining psychiatry.
