Dr. Safia Tasneem, MD

Dr. Safia and her office failed to followup on a major finding identified by the radiologist. She says she never received the report from the radiologist which is not true as some of it was displayed in mychart. A year later the cancer had increased in mass and was detected incidentally. Had it been followed up the year earlier it would have been less severe. She is good for day to day small issues but don’t expect her to know or to follow up on anything major

When I would see her she would always say "you have x, remind me what that is that again." Her office almost sent me to collections, when I told them I did not owe them anything they looked into it and it turned out they owed me money. And we're going to send me to collections the literal next day if I didn't resolve it. I had to push to get them to look into the matter. When I was in a flare for my chronic condition that she had treated me for her office refused to get me the medication I needed and would not pushe through to her to explain why I was in a bind. Do not see tasneem if you want a doctor who will research your conditions, or a doctor who is reachable in an urgent situation, or a doctor who isn't going to ruin your credit. Otherwise Dr tasneem is just mediocre. She told me after listening to my symptoms that it sounded like MS. It was not.

She is wonderful doctor. Listens and explains things very well so that is is understood to us who do not know medical words.
