My experience over the years has not been pleasant. Kang is dismissive of on going concerns. Not the best bedside manner, once referred to my weight concerns as needing to “try harder” and my frame being small and unable to support the weight. She called me a two story house on a one story foundation and my body can’t support itself. I would say she is just very dismissive of a patients concerns. I’ve explained to her I have lipedema diagnosed by another doctor and she is unfamiliar with the condition and again dismissed my concerns with ongoing inflammation and pain in my lower legs. I will be changing my primary care physician.

Worst doctor ever-combative and condescending
Rude and unprofessional. Dr Sae Kang was seeing my mom who was experiencing discomfort in her trachea, stating there was a food particle in her throat. Dr asked me to help mom feel comfortable, as she was adamant there was nothing in there. Then she suggested an xray. Before the xray, mom's concern was that the particle was so small, it won't be seen on the image. So after xrays, we went back to the Dr's office for results. After dr condescendingly told mom there was nothing in there, she turned to me and explained how the photos showed no particles. So to help mom feel a bit better with her xray concern, I asked 'well, what if the food is this small' showing her the size of a centimeter with my fingers, hoping doc would just say 'it doesnt matter how small the particle is'. But instead, dr got offended for whatever reason and raised her voice and put her hands out and said 'I can't talk to either of you about this!' Then we left. 4 days later, she coughed up the food covered in mucous

Doctor does not listen to patients
Doctor is combative. She did not want to hear anything I had to say. Kaiser only has doctors who do not provide patient centered care.

Good Doctor
She listens to your concerns and makes recommendations. She makes sure I understand what is going on with my body and provides education. I find that she emphasizes with me and address all my concerns. Shes great as a doctor. She’s been my Dr. For a few years now and mainly see her for my annual visit. I email her or phone apt throughout the year and have had no issues with her. She listens and she cares.

Condescending, uncaring provider
When I spoke to Dr. Kang about my condition, I explained the treatments I have already tried and why they haven't worked for me. Instead of expressing any type of concern, she stated that "we don't have medications for all conditions, there's nothing that can be done sometimes." Not to mention, she hinted I may be asking for opioids, which I clearly stated I wasn't. Her condescending and uncaring demeanor really leave much to be desired in a provider. Will avoid at all costs.
