Perfect, if you're feeling great! Unfortunately, I was having unusual pain in my chest. After seeing a cardiologist to rule out heart issues, I was told to see a gastroenterologist. I saw Dr. Cheshty and she ordered an ultrasound and blood work. She would only communicate results through the Northwell Health patient portal. Absolutely would not return any of my calls. I'm still having chest pains and will gladly find another doctor. Extremely disappointing experience!

I work at Northwell Health in Long Island, New York and I have found Dr. Cheshty to be incredibly articulate, extremely caring, extraordinarily competent and an overall good-hearted soul. If you have stumbled upon her name or were given a reference, please know that Dr. Cheshty is "the REAL thing"!! You will not get better, more informed or more up-to-date care from anyone else. Those of you in Lancaster unfortunately lost a very talented physician to Long Island!

My experience with Dr. Cheshty was wonderful. She took the time to explain things to me, looked me in my eyes when she spoke, wasn't typing on her computer and we had a thorough discussion of what I needed to do and what she could do for me. My procedure went well and I received a full explanation of the results shortly afterwards. My follow up appointment with her was excellent as well. My only complaint is that she is very booked and it was hard to get an appointment with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone with digestive issues.

I had an exceptional first visit with this doctor. I met her through the north shore medical system. First of all she was unbelievably pleasant and professional. Secondly she asked me questions I had never been asked before from a doctor. Third she even got involved in areas that she does not focusing which was my heart and even requested additional testing in preparation of my colonoscopy. She offered me wonderful advice and I look forward to a long relationship with her. It’s very clear when you meet someone that really loves what they do and cares about you and your health

Dr Chesty is a fantastic doctor. She figured out my issue after years of searching and almost giving up on doctors. I recommend Dr Cheshty to my friends and family. Office staff was also very good.

Dr Cheshty took care of me for 10 years in Lancaster for colitis. She is the BEST!! Concerned, listens carefully to everything, is kind, and addresses all my issues. She helped diagnose my heart condition and saved my life. She goes out of her way because she cares. I wouldn't even consider seeing another GI doctor.

Say it isn't so.....Dr. Cheshty left the practice? She was the best doc within the practice. Bar none. She understood that this struggle middle aged WOMAN, MOM, SPOUSE, AND INCOME EARNER had more to deal with than to manage IBS alone. She is a scientist with a passionate heart. I know this is a major loss for the practice as there aren't many female gastro docs with what she brought to the practice. I am sad that they didn't try harder to keep her in Lancaster.

I’m a physician who unexpectedly became sick and had to take medical leave. I had already received multiple second opinions with no progress. Dr. Chesty was able to narrow down the differential quickly and efficiently. And she did this, knowing that she was taking on a physician-patient who by nature are tougher to treat. (We tend to get in the way of our own treatment). My family and I are immensely grateful for the care we received. We wish you and your family peace.
