Horrible service and unprofessional
The receptionist is rude and unprofessional. She doesn't give her name when you call, or call you back when she says she will. I had to continually call the practice back multiple times to get information about medication and she is absolutely oblivious and goes in circles without ever giving you a straight answer. The lab tech is also grossly unprofessional and unorganized. She lost my lab sample and I had to go back to redo the test, and what makes matters worse is when I expressed my frustration to Dr. Masood, she shrugged it off and didn't even acknowledge the mistake, or apologize on her behalf, which is a huge error for someone who owns their own medical practice! Dr. Masood, also doesn't follow up on lab results, or try to make an effort to inform the patient of them, it took weeks for me to get ahold of her to go over my lab results. The communication in this practice is nonnonexistent.

Rude & Uncaring
Sadia Masoud was rude and uncaring every time we spoke. She wanted to discharge my family member before her treatments and evaluations had been completed. She needs training on how to interact with her patients and their family members.

Abysmal
In my opinion, the quality of care received by Sadia was abysmal. I found that the medical advice she conveyed to me was a health risk because it was wrong and outdated. This was made worse because she visited us late evenings (as another poster said) which delays treatment and reads off the computer monitor for any updates, which showed me she had no empathy or regard for quality/safe care. She often can't answer basic questions and responds in a demeaning manner if you ask follow up. I do not trust her medical judgement. There are much better quality and educated doctors to choose from and I wish I had spoken up to switch when I was at Inova Hospital.

Staff is Rude
Every time I call the lady answering the phone doesn't even give her name or even the practice name. They are rude and cut me off when I try to explain what I need and it takes 2+ weeks to receive any kind of results. With how rude they are with the more negative reviews then positive it is obvious this practice does not care and will treat their patients poorly.

My dad was admitted via ER with pneumonia (2008) where he was assigned Dr. Masood. He was awake & oriented on admission. He said he wanted everything to be done for him. So I specifically said he should not be sedated, as he needed to be be awake to work on clearing his lungs. Yet, I finally discovered that he was being sedated & his respiratory treatments had been stopped! By the time I discovered this & switched doctors, it was too late.

I was referred to Dr. Masood by a friend and we both love and trust Dr. Masood for our health care. She is very caring and spends as much time with you as you need. I'm also impressed with how much she remembers about my past visits without checking the computer! She has been very helpful in prescribing the right medicines for me and advising me on treatments.

I really do not understand the reviews here. I absolutely love Dr. Masood. I have been a patient of hers for years and find her to be so very caring and giving of her time to explain things thoroughly. I have absolute faith in her and her diagnosis has always been correct. I feel that these other reviews must be meant for a different doctor because they do not sound like the Dr. Masood that I know. A friend, who I referred and has been seeing her for years, feels the same way about her that I do.

As a health care provider myself, I had the unfortunate chance of getting her as my doctor while I was at the Inova Fairfax ER and subsequently when I was admitted. She does her "rounds" in the afternoon which makes it very difficult to schedule exams (i.e. MRIs & CTs) on the same day. As a result, valuable time was lost, and I, as a patient, continued to suffer from my symptoms. She lied to me about getting back my lab results, and tried to discharge me, when in fact, the lab results were never back. When I called her out on it by showing her the computer screen, she said "Sorry, I was thinking of another patient." This is not an acceptable excuse for a physician. She still tired to discharge me when I clearly stated: "I DO NOT feel safe going home." Finally, on the advice of the my charge nurse (who was very sympathetic and helpful), I fired her. Had I read healthgrades, I would have requested a difference physician right away. Avoid her at all costs.

I found Dr. S. Masood to be good. She answered all of my questions. Her secretary though, has a difficult time calling back. I called to find out about a test that was done, and she told me she would call me back about the test. Because if this, I maybe looking for another doctor.

Inpatient consulting with Dr. Masood at Inova Fairfax. Avoid! Totally lacking communication with patients and relatives. Manners/bedside manners are ruthless and she does not seem to care whether the patient lives or dies. Did not spend any useful time with the patient and she ignored patient's clear diagnostic signals. Having spend a long, long time related to medical practitioners, she should have her license to practice medicine revoked. I will NEVER have her see anyone I care for again.

She carries out actions without even informing the patient or the guardian. She is super emotional and has horrible manners. She literally told me that she doesn't care if I die. She is very fake and extremely rude. She always says what she wants and never listens. In the end, she forced me out of the hospital and into hospice. She is by far, the worst doctor I have ever met or heard of! I wish I read the previous review sooner and avoided her!

She rushed to making judgement calls regarding course of action before even talking to patient. Poor bedside manners. Rude and pretentious. Not comforting or understanding of patient's content, pain and anxiety. Worst Doctor consultation ever!
