I needed cataract surgery for both my eyes and when I saw Dr. Ittoop, she explained clearly and exactly what would be involved. She was professional, but reassuring and gave me several pages of information that I was able to refer to throughout the process of preparing for surgery and what to expect afterward. On each day of surgery, I was a bit nervous and she was reassuring and during the surgery told me each step in the process. My surgery was a great success and I believe it is because she is such a gifted surgeon AND people person. I highly recommend her.

I have glaucoma and the pressure in my eyes is destroying the optic nerves, which is reducing my field of vision. I have been using various eye drops for years to address the issue. When it became obvious that the drops were becoming less effect, Dr. Ittoop and I had a discussion about my options. Option 1 was to flush and enlarge the drains within both eyes to open things up to allow better circulation and reduce the pressure, option 2 was to create another path for the circulation. I chose option 1 along with cataract surgery because the combination would be one surgery verses multiple, which would reduce surgeries in the event I need to go to option 2 eventually. The surgery was very successful, the pressure in my eyes was rising back to the high teens before surgery, after surgery the pressure in now 8 in both eyes. I am very very happy with the outcome!

I met Dr. Ittoop in 2021 when referred for a cataract surgery consultation. At that time she did a great job explaining why it would be premature to have surgery at that time. When, three years later, it was time, she had moved to a different practice, but I was so impressed by her great communication and expertise that I followed her to a new practice, even though it was some distance from my home. So glad I did - the practice is great, she's really on top of her field, and I've had a great outcome.

In June 2022, I began my examination with Dr. Sabita Ittoop due to worsening vision caused by glaucoma. Dr. Ittoop conducted a thorough comprehensive examination, prescribed new eye drops, and performed selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) on both eyes, effectively stabilizing the pressure in both of them.Over the course of 1.5 years, she also performed cataract surgery, significantly improving my vision. I highly appreciate her professionalism, competence, and the comfort provided by her office staff. Dr. Ittoop performed laser iridotomy procedure on both eyes over course of two weeks. She explained all steps and answered my questions to my satisfaction. Very nice demeanor.
