Dr. Saba Chughtai, MD

I've been with Dr. Chugtai for several years, and what I love most about her is the care she has for her patients. This shows with the time she takes with them and how she remembers details about them from visit to visit. She makes suggestions but does not push. I'm glad I'm with her.

Dr. Chughtai and staff are caring courteous and never make you wait long periods on appointments. She cares deeply for her patients. I highly recommend her to anyone with problems.

Dr. Chughtai is a personable, caring, and diligent psychiatrist. She is informative and receptive to questions. After seeing several psychiatrists, she was the only one to diagnose my condition correctly. When I ask questions, her answers are typically detailed. She does not just throw medicines at a patient, as another reviewer has stated. The medicines she does prescribe - she carefully considers both the pros and cons. She always asks me how things are going at every visit and isn't satisfied with a simple reply- she wants details. I needed her help outside of regular hours, and she was in contact within a short time on both occasions. She highly recommends seeing a psychologist in conjunction with medicine therapy. Those who don't go that route are doing themselves a disservice. No medicine or combination of medicines are going to magically cure a mental illness. Therapy in conjunction with psychiatry is essential.

My Uncle had an appointment at 10:40AM, he is 94 years old and lives 45 minutes away from the office. We arrived at 10:35 only to find the office closed! After a phone call to the office to find out she was out due to death in family, which I am terribly sorry to hear, but not being informed to not come in was very unprofessional. I am told they called once on Friday but unable to leave a message and did not try to call back to talk with someone. They live in a retirement home and are always home except to go to lunch and dinner in the establishment they live! Very disappointed in this office!

Even though Dr. Chughtai is very personable, she is unreachable. I had a crisis happening and I had to leave a message. I inevitably ended up at the hospital because no one called back until the next day. While I was in the hospital the social worker left two messages for her with no return call. If you want someone you can get a hold of, look somewhere else.

Dr Chughtai is a very considerate and personable Doctor and listens with a very caring heart. She is a very skilled diagnostician and does not overuse medications. She also works with the Psychologist so she has an objective assessment of her patients needs. She is an exemplary Psychiatrist and a wonderful person.

Dr chugthai is a pill pusher. If you have issues she will just numb you out. You may not be able to function and be a zombie but you won’t want to die either. She is big on adding 700 drugs into a cocktail you take every day and each one has side effects. She doesn’t care about her patients and wants to see you in 5 min and wants you to pay and leave.

Dr. Chughtai is a total dingbat! She acts like a deer in headlights when you talk to her. All she does is push medication after medication without listening and understanding medical history given to her. It is all about money in this office and how they can get more out of you. Billing is awful as it is done out of state. BEWARE of this practice!
