Dr. Saatiah Jaffry, MD

During the appointment, my dad received an emergency phone call from his veterinarian about his dog who is dying and wanted him brought in asap to exam. He answered briefly to confirm he could be brought in and was on the phone a total of 20 seconds.Instead of showing empathy or even basic decency, the doctor yelled at him and told him she was no longer making him appts going forward. He is a end stage kidney patient currently awaiting transplant approval.If you’re looking for a doctor who values control over compassion, this might be the place for you. But if you’re someone who believes in basic human empathy and understanding, I would recommend looking elsewhere. We would never trust someone like this with his care again.

STAY AWAY! This Dr. has serious issues. She has a sign in front lobby that she will only discuss kidney issues in bold letters. I was there for routine visit (my third) after my cancer radiation treatments were completed. Dr. Jaffry asked me how I was doing. I started to answer her question stating the difficulty with urination, she started yelling at me that “if I wanted to be a Urologist, I would have gone to school to be one.” Dr. Jaffry then left the exam room yelling “I don’t want to talk about it.” repeatedly and never came back. I was shocked.In my career in med device and in my personal experiences with many physicians I have never been treated so poorly by a medical professional. There are many things related to the kidneys, the bladder, the urethra, stones, etc. Her behavior was unprofessional and rude. She has no compassion, no manners, or patience for people. STAY AWAY!

She is the worst. Pompous, condesending and self absorbed describe her quite well. 11 am appointment got in at 12:15, she not only thought it was funny that I waited she was totally ill prepared. The Dr. didn't know my name, why I was there (2nd visit) and never looked at my test results until she came in the room. I was told I had chronic kidney disease (mild) but she didn't know why. ( if she spent one minute looking into my case before seeing me it could have helped) In short, if you don't mind waiting, being talked down too or treated like a number on an insurance form she's the one. Just another self important collage educated idiot. If your reading this and in need of a kidney dr. There HAS to be a better one around.

Dr Jaffry is by far one of the very best doctors I have ever had or met. She has treated me for almost a decade and frankly, I would not be alive now without her expertise as a nephrologist and Dr in general. She is kind, courteous, caring, truthful (even if is something you do not want to hear) and listens to all your questions then explains the answers or reasoning behind them. Her bedside manner at her office and when you are hospitalized is outstanding. Additionally, when I had a complicated surgery not related to nephrology she was called and knew exactly what the surgeon and hospital should do / give me to keep me from bleeding out. Dr Jaffry is “MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED” and i say this and the above paragraphs without any embellishment, bias, favoritism or disregard for any other Dr. It is just a fact.

In September 2022, I was referred by the Orlando VA community care to see this doctor at her Palm Bay office, because my urologist wants me to get more screening after being thrown kidney cancer. I notice almost immediately that she has an arrogant and unsympathetic attitude. She used months-old medical records (I blame the VA for sending her the incorrect records), but she refused to let me provide the correct ones for her and refused to listen to what I had to say. Her word was final, and she even escorts me out of her office and told the lady in the front that I don't need to come back, and the way she talked to the young lady was patronizing. Was obvious to me she didn't want to waste her time with me. She's extremely condescending and quick to jump to the wrong assumptions.

Her review of my condition left me tramatized. Terrible bedside manner you ho to a doctor to be incouraged youll be ok. Not discouraged that there is nothing more she can do for an 87 year old and i should consider Hospice

Best of the best! Dr Jaffry pays close attention to all the details. Her close management of my husbands health has prevented him from going on dialysis. That's huge! She also works closely with his cardiologist. I wish she could also be our PCP. Her staff is the best. They also get my husbands sense of humor. They are friendly and easy to work with. They make scheduling and prescription management an easy process. I trust her with his life.
