Great Surgeon!
Very skilled Surgeon . I had 2 difficult stents placed by Dr. Skulski via the ER at Eisenhower Hospital. From the moment I was brought into the Cath Lab Dr Skulski and his heart staff made me feel at ease. The procedure was done through my wrist and was quick and painless. On my follow up appointment I finally got to meet the Dr. outside of the hospital setting and in his office. He is a very caring Doctor and took his time to get to know me and to answer any questions I had. He gave me some great advice not only about my heart but about living life. I would highly recommend him!

Best Experience!
Dr Skulski was pleasant, very informative, hands on and spoke to ME , not his computer! He performed tests himself and took time to discuss my condition and clearly explained why he wanted me on medications! I love this Doctor!

Thankful we were referred to Dr. Skulski
Made time for a same day urgent appointment so an upcoming surgery date could be kept on schedule. Dr. Skulski was very kind, patient, listened to our concerns and clearly laid out the plan. Very happy we were sent to his office.

NO ONE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE
DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR. My father was waiting for his MRI - IV in his arm, waiting for an important MRI. He has a pacemaker. Dr. Skulski needed to fill out a simple form with the make of his pacemaker on it - that's all. The techs couldn't get a hold of Dr. Skulski, the hospital couldn't find him, and NO ONE EVER answers his phone. The tech was so frustrated, she walked OVER TO HIS OFFICE (Tuesday afternoon) and no one was there - empty! They tried for 2 hours to find Skulski or his staff. NOTHING. They had to cancel my Dad's MRI and have yet to send over the paperwork needed to reschedule. This is unacceptable medical care: My dad is in PAIN and needs the MRI to get treatment - but instead, we wait. DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR.

terrible experience
I was referred to Dr. Skulski following an ER visit. The referral was requested as urgent, but Dr. Skulski decided otherwise and made the appointment for 30 days, during which I ended up back in ER with 2-night hospitalization. I arrived on time and waited almost an hour to see him. I found Dr. Skulski rude, arrogant and condescending. He also cut me off every time I tried to say anything. Bedside manner is important in a patient-doctor relationship, and this was one of the worst MD experiences of my life.

After an angiogram procedure performed at Eisenhower Medical, a patient's success in scheduling a follow-up visit is dismal. It took three voice mails, none of them returned, then finally on the fourth one was able to speak to the staff. Why the delay? I was informed Dr. Skulski does not accept my Blue Shield PPO and I was told to call the hospital's main number for another referral. Mind you, eight days have passed by without any response from Dr. Skulsky's clinic. And not once, once, did he ever stop by my bedside to introduce himself or update me on the angiogram. Even though the RNs and Hospital internist kept saying he should be stoping and updating me soon. What a joke.

I had an emergency procedure during a major surgery. Dr. Skulski explained what had happened and what he had done while I was out and explained that another procedure was necessary which he performed a week later. All is well now! He spent over an hour talking with me, was kind, and treated me as an intelligent person and not just as a diagnosis. I was lucky that he was on call when I needed emergency care. His office was comfortable and clean and office staff were pleasant. bob rice

I waited an hour and a half to see Dr. Skulski. The office was filthy. The doctor doesn't believe in using computers. I brought in Ct scan disk and report and he said he didn't need to look at it. Instead, I had an EKG and ultrasound. The good news was my diagnosis was "I have beautiful heart".

After having heart surgery a few months earlier in Los Angeles, I was feeling very weak, tired and overall bad. While visiting in Rancho Mirage, and I began to feel even worse. I was referred to Dr. Skulski by a friend, and when I called his office, they scheduled me to see him right away. After an EKG, ultrasound and a very thorough examination, Dr. Skulski stopped some of my medications and changed others. That afternoon, I began to feel better and a couple of days later, the chest pain was gone, and I got most of my energy back. Dr. Skulski you are the best.

Dr. Skulski is extremely incompetent, arrogant and lacks compassion. Six months after my father had a pacemaker placed by Dr. Skulski he developed all kinds of life threatening issues. Dr. Skulski said there was nothing that could be done. "He's 83 yrs old, he's had a long enough life." He didn't even know my father's history and thought he had COPD from smoking- neither are true. After seeing other Cardiologists we learned that he had received the wrong pacemaker and incorrect medication.

My husband was seen on November 1 and told by Dr Skulski that he had a "silent heart attack". An ultra sound was done in the office at which time he informed my husband "that there was something suspicious on the bottom right hand side of his heart" and said my husband needed an angiogram. HOWEVER, he did not schedule my husband until November 28! the angiogram found nothing wrong, dr s denied ever saying my husband had a heart attack and told me to be grateful nothing was wrong with him.

Treated my charge in the hospital for heart attack and prescribed heart meds. She did not get a follow-up until 6 months later at which time he berated her for not remembering her BP and heart rate numbers. And clearly did not remember her as his patient from the hospital. Then blamed the lack of follow-up on her for switching insurances which had only happened a month or two prior to this visit. His lack of respect and empathy for someone in her senior years was hard to observe.

Dr. Skulski was able to see me immediately upon a referral from my primary physician. That referral itself tells me he is held in esteem by his peers. His office situation is a bit of a challenge but he has impressed me as a competent, caring physician. I would highly recommend him

Our 86 year old father-in-law had a 2:00 appointment. He sat in the exam room for 1 1/2 hours shirtless & freezing without anyone checking in on him. Disgraceful!! Apparently the doctor was meeting with a medical sales rep instead of seeing patients that had been waiting for so very long. My husband wasn't even allowed in the exam room with him. Shame on you all that work in this office. This will be the visit with doctor!!!

After reading all of the comments, it seems like his practice is measured on the way his office is managed, not his skills. He has one person to answer calls and to manage the reception area and one aid to help him with his tests. Both of which need to have their management skills be reviewed. As far as Dr. Skulski, he is very knowledgeable, professional and caring. I would recommend him as your Dr. if you can look past the way the office is run.

Dr. Skulski has been my cardiologist and my husband's cardiologist for the last nine years. He is a caring doctor and extremely knowledgeable. He listens carefully to our concerns and answers all of our questions. He saved my life in 2009 by diagnosing an ascending aortic aneurysm. He has controlled my atrial fibrillation and blood pressure. I am thankful to have found such a wonderful doctor.

After taking 2 blood pressure medications for 15 years, a third one was added (by an other doctor) that landed me in the emergency room with a BP of 80/62. Dr. Skulski was the first to recognize that I do not need any BP medication at all and that solved a lot of my problems. Dr. Skulski restored my AFIB heart to a regular beat He is a great communicator and keeps his patients informed. Thank you Dr. Skulski !
