Dr. Wicks is fearless! He has performed two surgeries for me, gallbladder removed and hernia repair. He is a very kind doctor that listens and gives you all needed information and options. He always asks if I have questions and takes the time to answer each one. I recommend Dr Wicks and his staff.

My initial visit with Dr. Wicks was good. He is the kind of Doctor who listens to the patient and he inspires confidence with his level of knowledge and experience, especially with gallbladder diagnosis and removal. He clearly laid out all my options and did not try to force a decision one way or the other but gave good sound medical advice. I am scheduled for surgery in a few weeks and based on this visit and the feedback from previous patients, I anticipate a good result.

He was completely up to date in regard to my records even though I was a new patient. He explained everything and we discussed my issue. We both agreed on what course of action to take. Very courteous ,professional ,and knowledgeable.

Dr. Wicks is an amazing surgeon. I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for him. My colon burst (undiagnosed diverticulitis) while I was on vacation in Ireland. I was very ill, but made the plane trip back to OKC. I went straight to Baptist ER from the airport. My plane landed at 12:15, and I was in surgery by 5. Dr. Wicks was called in, and he was very thorough in explaining everything before my surgery. He has made sure I have had the best aftercare, including weekly and then every other week appointments with him. He will also be doing a colostomy reversal for me in a few weeks. I am very confident in his abilities, and I highly recommend Dr. Wicks, especially for a ruptured colon!

Dr. Wicks is extremely knowledgeable and is willing to take the time to explain the process before and after! Not to mention that the actual procedure and care could not have gone smoother! Highly recommended, and greatly appreciated! Many thanks to Dr. Wicks and his team!

I have a cyst on my shoulder. Went to my Primary doc and because of the location thought it best to see a surgeon. Dr. Wicks examined the cyst and said we should consult with a shoulder surgeon. The consult is in the works. Dr. Wicks explained everything in a way that I could understand. The staff I interacted with were very pleasant. If the need arrives again I will go back (not that I want that to happen).

Dr Wicks performed an appendectomy on me. Was pleased with him professionally and medically, however, my insurance has an issue with his notes vs the coding/billing. My insurance needed his office to update the notes to correctly reflect the charges billed before they would pay. For 5 months so far, I cannot get anyone in Dr Wicks office to help me on this matter and the hospital turned me over to collections. I’ve spent approximately 27 hours on the phone thus far trying to get this resolved and it appears his staff doesn’t care or doesn’t know what to do.

My appointment was a first visit and consultation. Dr. Wicks took time to explain everything regarding questions I had about a hernia. Very thorough and genial.

Have previous experience with Dr Wicks and he has completely earned my wife’s and my trust. Clearly explains the surgery, the expected outcomes and the risks. Recoveries were as explained and we experienced no complications as we followed the post-op instructions.

Incredible surgeon and nurses!!! Super caring and explained the procedure and results wonderfully so we could understand.
