Excellent Surgeon!
Dr. Sullivan took time to not only explain my condition , but listened to how I felt. I decided on surgery after weighing the various options he gave to me. He was personable and easy to talk to, and I never felt any pressure to opt for a surgical intervention. He successfully performed a rather difficult procedure and for the first time in years, I have no pain! He is my hero.

Not empathic, caring or considerate
I will not go into personal details regarding my visit, but I had a very bad experience with Dr. Sullivan. Apart from making me wait for an extended period, the doctor's attitude towards me was dismissive and condescending. He did not show any empathy or interest in addressing my concerns and was insulting. Even my family member who accompanied me was stunned by his unprofessionalism. I understand that doctors can have different opinions on a patient's condition, but Dr. Sullivan failed to communicate his message with compassion or professionalism. What infuriated me the most was his refusal to acknowledge my condition, which other medical professionals had verified. After my experience with Dr. Sullivan, I visited a different orthopedic surgeon who was shocked at Dr. Sullivan's assessment. I would never recommend Dr. Sullivan to anyone I know. Although there are patients who may have had a positive experience with him, unfortunately, mine was not one of them.

In my opinion Dr. Sullivan is tops in his profession. My total knee replacement went perfectly; why do I say this? The result was far better than I expected. My other knee also need replacement, and I'm looking forward to having Dr. Sullivan do that one also.

Great Surgeon!
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sullivans for 2 years. I’ve known for a while I needed a knee replacement and he continued to follow my lead providing injections until I was ready for the surgery. He was understanding and often answered the same questions over and over with each visit until I finally went in recently and was absolutely ready for the surgery. Pain control after was a concern of mine and I have to say that the regime he prescribed has been great for me! I can’t rave enough about how happy I am that I had the surgery and that Ryan Sullivan was the one to do it! I highly recommend him! Many thanks to you and your office team!

Dr Sullivan listens
Dr Sullivan listened patiently to my questions and fears. He explained the nature of my ailment so I could be part of the healing process. He offered treatment options. Before treatment he gave 2 kinds of numbing meds, which made the procedure almost pain free. When he treated me he explained what was happening and what to expect during healing. I would describe Dr Sullivan as compassionate and knowledgeable.

A doctor I trust
I have been seeing Dr. Sullivan for about 18 months. He has determined the extent of my knee problems and is treating me with the least invasive, but effective care. When this no longer brings relief, I feel like I can put myself in his hands to escalate my repairs.

William Donnelly - Shot of Zilretta in right knee
Talked about options for my left knee and we agreed that he would make arrangements for insurance and appointment ASAP for an additional shot. Received notice today that everything is OK for the procedure on March 15th to the left knee. Very thankful.

Highly Recommended
I started seeing Dr. Sullivan in 2020 for right knee pain. He explained the knee was becoming arthritic but at my age (mid 50's) based on the most current literature, he did not recommend surgery at this time. In accordance with the literature, we formulated a plan of injections and anti-inflammatory oral medications. This worked well for just over two years but based on new x-ray imaging indicating arthritis had progressed, we decided it was time to surgically intervene. Late in 2022, Dr. Sullivan did a complete right knee replacement that went wonderfully. I won't lie, rehab was very hard, but after three months of recovery, all is very well and good. I absolutely recommend Dr. Sullivan, and if the time comes, I will see Dr. Sullivan for my left knee.

Wonderful Ortho
Began seeing Dr. Sullivan after my original orthopaedic surgeon retired. The transition was seamless and I am totally pleased with Dr. Sullivan. He is thorough, reviews all results and explains them, and is gracious in answering any questions or addressing concerns. While I do not see him regularly as I am in 'maintenance mode' with my implants, I still look forward to our visits. I would highly recommend him!
