I will begin by saying that my comments are based on my personal experience with Dr. Ryan Putnam. If you are considering an arch reconstruction, also known as flat foot surgery, you may want to ask if he, Dr. Putnam, will be doing the entire surgery himself. You will also want to know if Dr. Putnam will allow a physician assistant to have any significant participation in your surgery. Following a flat foot surgery on my left foot in March 2018, I was in constant pain or some level of discomfort in my foot and/or ankle from the time I stopped using pain medications, for the next four (4) years. After requesting and reading my medical records, I learned from the Operative Report that the physician assistant was, “present and participated in all key and critical portions of my procedure. I learned the physician assistant was directly responsible for joint take down, bone resection, tendon lengthening, hardware application, bone graft harvest and wound closure in my foot surgery.

Very thorough and gave me lots of options. Didn’t jump right to surgery. Ultimately did have Tenjet procedure for my chronic plantar fasciitis. Totally resolved now!

Very patient with my husband and I. I asked a lot of questions ( probably too many) and he helped me understand my condition. Very pleased with my visits with him over the past year.
