Dr. Lewis decided that when my wife went into the ER because she had 4 gallbladder attacks in 2 days, 2 of which lasted over 3 hours of terrible pain. Each one of the attacks make her throw up because the pain is so bad. Even though my wife who is breast feeding our 8 month old baby now can take painkillers that wont allow her to Brest feed the baby. The advice while at the hospital to avoid the painkillers was “well maybe she could not eat for 7 days till the surgery and drink protein shakes”. I’m so frustrated that Dr. Lewis literally looked at some ultrasounds pictures confirmed that she does need to have surgery but said since she has an appointment she can wait another 7 days. She will likely loose her milk supply (as of right now my baby doesn’t take a bottle but obviously we’ll have to get her over that since my wife had to be put on painkillers so she wouldn’t pass out at the ER) I don’t know how he does in the operating room but my respect couldn’t be lower for the guy when it come to the decisions that he made for my wife and baby. When she’s crying and throwing up again while having an attack and saying “I can’t do it, I can’t do it” I’ll having to think of something to tell her to help her, not pull a Dr. Lewis and send it to someone else.

We can not say enough positive comments about Dr. Lewis, his assistant Lindsay and Danielle who did the dressings and removed the drain tubes. From the first Breast Cancer consultation to the final post surgery consultation, Dr. Lewis explained everything in a manner that we could understand and he answered all our questions. Also, Jill in scheduling was very helpful and understanding. Very pleased with the outcome of my double mastectomy surgery. Thank you all.

I’m sorry but we did not have a good experience, surgical consult in ER and was moved immediately to a surgical room 1st floor without any confirmation that surgery was needed. My wife was out of pain after a couple of pain injections. Tests came back later that day proved bowel was not kinked and surgery was necessary . Instead of releasing her immediately . Was held another day costing us the Er and surgical room. Our out of pocket was close to $3500.00 . I guess that’s what a couple of tests and pain injections cost after insurance. Wrong

I highly recommend Dr. Lewis to breast cancer patients. He performed a lumpectomy on me recently. I felt confident in his expertise from the initial visit on. I had hospital techs assure me that I had a great surgeon. Except for a clean small incision in front and the main incision under my arm, I see no before and after surgery differences in my breast. He called me personally to give me the pathology report. Immediately after surgery, I was never in pain, just mild discomfort sleeping.

I cannot speak highly enough of this very knowledgeable and talented surgeon. He is direct, giving needed information so I could make the best decisions. He is unique in that he listens. He actually listens carefully and encourages questions. As for my life....he committed a miracle! When I came out of surgery there were the usual issues of having one's stomach muscles cut laterally. Yet I already began to feel better! Almost a month later and I feel almost like a teenager again! (at 67)

Dr. Lewis is the best!!! I am currently a patient of his. I am fighting breast cancer and he did my surgery. I ended up having a port put in for chemo use and two surgeries to get the tumor out and lymph nodes removed. He eases your mind and makes the surgery not scary at all. After my chemo I had to get my gall bladder removed and Dr. Lewis was my surgeon for that. I trust Dr. Lewis with my life and so does my husband and children.
