Staff were very friendly and never made me feel like I may not have anything wrong with me. I was just as important as the next person.

It seems that I didn't need to be referred to a surgeon because the details of my condition didn't warrant surgery. The doctor spent 5 minutes with me and said he would make another referral to a GI doctor. This was a waste of time.

This doctor is rude and his staff is incompetent. If I could give him less than 1 star, I would. First, after my appointment was scheduled, someone called and changed my appointment time with someone not on my contacts list, and then lied that they left several messages for me when I don't even have a voice mailbox set up on my phone. Then, before my procedure, he marked the wrong location to make the incision. Thankfully the surgical nurse realized his mistake before he cut me. Afterward, I had to call the office to find out if I was released for work and the staff member I spoke with was equally as rude and said my discharge instructions stated that I couldn't return to work until after my follow up appointment. There were no such instructions about any kind of restriction to return to work. Clearly this doctor and his staff have credibility issues and I will never return to him for any services, and I will never recommend anyone to his practice.

The whole team was caring and very good at making us comfortable.

If I am lying on the table dying, I certainly hope Dr Grote is the one trying to save my life. He knows is stuff!!!

He was very patient and explaining to me what I need it done how he would do it, and the day of the surgery he took his time again to let me know what he was going to do and took his time and comforted me so I wasn’t so freaked out

Dr. Grote and his staff was very considerate and kind. They explained the procedure I need and asked multiple times if I understood or had any questions or concerns.
