I want to be fair and say this review may not effect you and Dr Giovanni may not be a bad surgeon. Hip Replacements have been installed in patients for 84 years now. There is a very low risk associated with this surgery whether you smoke or not. California Doctors have been instructed NOT to operate on anyone who Smokes including Cigars, Vapes or Chews or is overweight for elective Orthopedic Surgeries, even though at one time 50% of the US Population smoked and had successful Hip Replacements. Today I spoke with a prominent Orthopedic Surgeon who has operated on 1,000’s patients for Knee and Hip Replacements, and NEVER had one issue, even though at least 20% were Smokers, Vapers or Chewers, It’s going to effect between 75 to 100 MILLION PEOPLE. This is flat out discrimination. To add insult to injury I have had 31 successful Orthopedic surgeries. As have now done a lot of research I found out that Drinkers are now on Hospitals radar. What will be next?

Polite, straightforward, efficient, offered options. Dr. Di Giovanni assessed how my condition affects me and performed a thorough exam and then offered options for my care.

I think that is the entire time I have been there, from the dr's attention to the staff that works there, it was perfect, thank you.

The valet staff is really horrible

Hey, Dr. Giovanni is a very skilled orthopedic surgeon. I've had zero problems with my hip replacement, which I got last July, until I was assaulted physically in a domestic violence situation, but that's another story for another day. Doing great, starting PT again, and hoping that will rectify the situation. Thank you.

The doctor is backlogged on my surgery for 6 months so will try and be patient waiting for a knee replacement.

I was seen on time! I have waited for an hour in an exam room without anyone checking on me or giving me an update. I have actually walked out without being seen. This office was prompt and friendly. She let me know when the doctor would be in and he was. So far UCI has exceeded my expectations!

Dr. Di Giovanni has a great bedside manner and is very patient answering questions.
