Uncaring
I had seen another physician previously at this office but I had trouble getting refills or even a response from the office. The pharmacy had no luck. So I made another appointment with this Doctor. He spent a full 5 minutes basically berating me for not staying with the original physician until I just got up and left. I have worked in the medical field for 20 years. If a patients wants to see another doctor, they see another doctor. For someone who supposedly has experience in mental health, he doesn’t have a clue. Thank God I ended up getting meds through my PCP. Tell your friends.

Could also Give a 0 rating if I could. Horrible doctor. Does not listen to your complaints. Lacks empathy and understanding. Does not even review prior medical records in order to make informed decisions.

My rating would also be a 0 if it were possible. I have had 4 psychiatrists in my 30 years working with mental health issues of bipolar 1 and increased depression. The reasons I’ve changed to 4 different Psych. Dr.’s are related to the Dr.’s retirements. Dr Ryan Deen has been the rudest, least compassionate, incompetent Psyc., that I’ve encountered. Truly incompetent, he gave me a 3 mg. Capsule and told me to take 1/2 per day. Capsules can NOT be broken in1/2. Avoid this Dr. and his P. A. !!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Dr. Deen is so rude! The way he talked to me made me feel so bad about myself. He made me feel stupid and like I wasn't worth his time. He straight up told me I had anxiety but refused to help me with it. Never had a doctor so rude and disrespectful before

Dr. Deen did seem to come across at first as though he was being rushed by, perhaps his supervisors but once I was able to really get my point across he was gentle, listened and took on a very caring manner. Unfortunately, in my life I've seen my fair share of psychiatrists and Dr. Deen has been the most compassionate, which is what I have needed for my own personal healing. His knowledge is quite evident but what many of the other previous reviewers seem to fail to understand is that most appointment times with psychiatrists are only in blocks of 15 minutes. This is a flaw in our healthcare and has caused a major problem with how our doctors have a chance to treat us. Dr. Deen is doing a good job with what he is given.

Defensive, judgmental. I am a veteran Who was seeking alternative therapies for depression who was told I haven’t been “ponying up” to get help for my depression mind you I’m sitting in a therapist office. That takes a lot of courage. Or maybe I don’t know what pony up means. #defeated!

I saw Dr. Deen today and he dismissed my every concern, talked down to me, and treated me like my questions were a nuisance. I've never had a doctor treat me so disrespectfully.

I've seen my share of psychiatrists and Dr. Deen has by far been one of the most comfortable to open up to. He's amicable, willing to explain in detail, and thorough. I would recommend him to anyone, especially if it's your first time being evaluated for medication.
