I had wires from a prior fractured patella that had broken loose and were pertruding at the top of my knee. I was referred to Dr. Couchman by my primary Dr. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of surgery. Down time was next to nothing and because of the nerve block, I experienced no pain. His staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely pleased with Dr. Couchman and his staff.

Would highly recommend him. He has done several knee surgeries and both my shoulder surgeries. Last one still recovering from . He shows great concern and doesn't rush you into surgery.

Dr Couchman did a total knee replacement on my wife 9 months ago. It became apparent a few weeks after the surgery that something was not right. She is STILL struggling with pain and nerve issues and has a hard time walking. Her discomfort is WORSE now is worse than bone on bone pain that she had before. There is odd swelling above the knee which he admits does not look right. However… he seems to have absolutely NO motivation to determine the cause of the issues or offer solutions. After her last visit he told her she probably should see another doctor. If you use this doctor for a knee replacement you better hope for a good outcome. He doesnt seem to be interested in dealing with and fixing any problems resulting from the surgery.

Had my left knee replaced in July Dr. Couchman gave me a life again. It was minimal pain in recovery my scar has healed beautifully and my psyhical therapist said she had never seen a knee heal so fast. I had my right knee relaced a week ago to early to say but I dont foresee any problems. The one negative is his assistant Melanie she is less than pleasant actually downright rude. Refused to even transfer a prescribtion from CVS (the only pharmacy opened Thanksgiving when i was released) it is at least 25 minutes from my home to a Walgreens 2 minutes away. She needs a class in people skills. Great job Dr. Couchman I will continue to see him despite of her.

After having two prior hip replacements and one hip revision by other docs, I had Dr. C revise a failed artificial hip joint about a year ago. He did a fine job and the best one yet. He is a very nice guy and tells you the truth straight away. I highly recommend him.

Took over 5 months to get in to Dr. Couchman the first time. He was taking time off to deal with his medical issue, and I don't fault him for that. Problem was every time my appointment was rescheduled, it for another month out. Now I'm trying to get in for my second round of Euflexxa injections. I called over 2 months before they were due to get the process started. Called back after 6 weeks and found out NOTHING was done. I was told it would be reviewed with Dr Couchman and submitted to the ins company. I called back 2 weeks later and was told they were waiting for a response from the ins company. I called the ins company today (10 days later), and they haven't even received the request. Called Dr C's office back again. They confirmed it hasn't gone to insurance company, but can't tell me why. Person who handles it is gone for the day. She'll leave a message for her to call, but doesn't know when because she's busy. Absolute worst ctm service. I'll be finding a new Dr.

Saw him for my knee (suspected meniscus tear) and more recently for pain in my bicep. He snatches and jerks the affected limb and shows zero compassion for the pain it causes. He normally does an xray then offers PT and cortisone. I asked for a true diagnosis to include an MRI and he refused, stating that I had to follow the protocol specified by my insurer. His examination both times was about five minutes. He is arrogant and lacks compassion and still has not offered a diagnosis.

I had been having severe shoulder pain for several years, saw four orthopedic doctors near my home. I was told my BMI was too high that there was 100% chance for complications. These four doctors had me take expensive test, shots and physical therapy before they refused to help me. I was so depressed and wanted to die because I had no quality of life. Dr. Couchman saw me one time, did an x-ray and told me I needed surgery. He did an excellent job. I'm pain free enjoying life. Thanks Dr. C

Dr. Couchman is simply amazing. He did a total shoulder replacement for me, and 4 months later I have no pain, can do almost everything I did before my arm was injured. I have heard horror stories from friends who went to other orthopedic surgeons. They scared me so badly I almost didn't go through with my surgery, but I would recommend Dr. Ryan Couchman to anyone with total confidence that he will do for you what he did for me.

Today I am celebrating 5 yrs. of my "new lease" on mobility because of Dr. Couchman's skill and encouragement and the excellent care of the P.T.s throughout the treatment. Thanks so very much Dr. for approving my request to replace both knees that day. I enjoy being active with "zero" discomfort and being able to keep up with my growing family (2 "grands" since 2011) . Thanks again from me and family and extended family. Love to all in Christ's name. Ron

I didn't know Dr. Couchman prior to my first visit. I knew my shoulder had lots of tears. I am a body builder & personal trainer & have been in the industry for 38 years, so lots of wear & tear, along w/ some injuries that I never had repaired. When Dr. Couchman saw my MRI, he wasn't sure if he could fix all that was wrong. During surgery, he found that my shoulder was worse than MRI showed. I am 4 months post surgery & some days I forget that I even had surgery. My scar is barely visible.
