I saw Dr. Ryan Burch unfortunately at the St. Luke's ER in Olathe, KS. He is a terrible doctor and treated me, as a patient, like trash. I came in with a rare, adverse reaction to my antibiotic. It was obviously the issue and he didn't care to take the time to listen or even look up what I was prescribed. Mayo Clinic even sited what symptoms could occur with my antibiotic and he completely chalked it up to being a "coincidence". Hearing that come out of a mouth that is supposed to be using science is frightening. He advised to continue the antibiotic even though that it was obviously the problem. I was left crying and telling him how scared I was that he didn't care if I'd end up back in the ER basically. Will never use that facility again if he is there.

Dr Burch treated a loved one who ended up passing away. While there was most likely nothing else Dr Burch could do to help, the manner in how he communicated with me and my family was jarring and showed little compassion for the situation. It felt that this was the first time in his career that he had to tell a family their loved one was going to pass and he appeared almost excited to be the one to tell us. He showed no compassion or empathy to my family or our loved one in sharing this.
