Dr. Russell Libby, MD

My father, 73, has Kidney stones he was referred to Libby, and from setting the appointment to the doctor’s visit, it was a horrible experience. The person that scheduled the appointment received the PCP referral only to respond with “I have to verify” the referral, as if it was fake. And after “verifying” they did not call back/follow up, we had to call them back. On the day of the appointment the intake process was long, and the wait even longer, while the actual visit with the doctor and nurse was 5 minutes, no samples were taken, there were no examinations done, just the doctor looking at the computer screen and talking at us, not to us. The nurse was visibly unwilling to take essential vitals, and at one point the doctor asked the nurse to take a urine sample and she nonverbally refused (giving the doctor a funny look), the urine sample was not done. Horrible experience!! You would think that people in healthcare, would actually care for other humans. Not this doctor, not this doctor’s office, and definitely not the nurse. Go somewhere else. Now we know why he stays available. There’s no care to his health care.

Dr. Libby went above and beyond to treat me for kidney stones. From the moment he walked in the exam room, my husband and I were completely comfortable with him. He performed a less invasive procedure first, which helped, but the largest kidney stone was still too big to pass. He then performed a ureteroscopy to remove the largest kidney stone. I was in the middle of preparing for my daughter's wedding which was in less than 3 weeks when this started. He adjusted his schedule for both procedures to get me in as quickly as possible. This is something most doctors wouldn't do, and I could not thank him enough. I couldn't even get into see any of the other urologists I contacted for an inital exam in less than three weeks! Dr. Libby is a very compassionate doctor who puts the needs of his patients first. He is easy to talk to, explains the procedures and answers all of your questions thoroughly, and has a great sense of humor. What more could you ask of a doctor? I highly recommend him!

Dr. Libby took care of me from the onset of diagnosis through surgery. I felt he was very knowledgeable and competent, but also very caring and kind. He never rushed me, always took the time to answer my questions, and explained things clearly. The surgery went very well, and I have recovered nicely. The thing I like best about Dr. Libby, is his upbeat positive attitude. He is very knowledgeable and did a great, thorough job on my turbt bladder surgery. He's very friendly and answers all questions. I'm so glad I have him as my doctor during this time, and I trust him totally.

Dr Libby has worked with me to care for an aging parent. He explained my father’s condition using understandable language.I appreciated the time he took to answer all of our questions. He provided my father comforting reassurance.

Dr. Russell Libby was fantastic. He was able to create a treatment and action plan, with follow up appointments. He was thorough in examination and treated me well.He used educational and informative tone in his interaction with me, and I appreciate the 'buy in' he was able to achieve. That's what stood out the most. Instead of just filling a prescription and requesting a follow up, he offered a detailed treatment plan, ensuring I understood it, and was comfortable with it.He has my highest recommendation for any future urology appointments!

He takes personal calls during visit even though he was running over an hour late. Takes 3-7 days to return calls for pain or test results. I have no confidence in his ability to diagnose correctly.

This guy should NOT be practicing medicine! He told my husband he thought he had prostate cancer then made an appt to come back in two weeks when we returned he had not ordered a cat scan, we had NO results from the prior tests that were done and he gave us bogus answers as to why the cat wasn’t scheduled (other than he forgot). He smirked and then said he was going to walk out of the room . He’s awful!!! Then he ordered the cat scan and he forgot to order another test. When scheduling the CT scan .. three people in the office said they hear same complaints about the guy! Don’t bother! He’s incompetent or hates people OR doesn’t care if they are sick or not.

Terrible bed side manners, doesn’t listen to concerns, doesn’t care about your privacy while half naked on the table just stands with door open talking. Pushing meds without consideration to my health plan. While doing procedure, didn’t make sure my shirt was out of the way and I left with a soaking wet shirt. I felt humiliated and unheard. I hate feeling rushed like that. He seems to be just concerned with getting as many patients in as he can.

Dr Libby has treated me for recurring kidney stones. I recently had surgery to remove two stones and Dr Libby did an excellent job! He explained options and patiently answered all of my questions. I was very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and would highly recommend Dr Libby. (I had the same surgery 6 years ago with a different doctor and suffered much more pain and discomfort after that previous surgery.)
